I am not particulaly fond of any of the warboss models. The black reach one looks terrible as far as I am concerned, thraka looks mediocre at best <and is only useful if you want mega armor>, and the other two boss models are pretty much duplicates of each other and both require conversion to have good weapons. I think I am pretty good as far as painting goes, but I have no skill in conversion. I made one of the new plastic Nobs into my warboss after chopping up one of the metal ones and adding parts to him, but he just feels a bit small to be a warboss. I know it is just me complaining at this point, but I wish GW or Forge world would make a warboss I could be proud of. I plan to get the biker boss from FW, but I want one on foot as well... Has anyone heard tale of a new model coming out in the foreseeable future?

You could try kitbashing the fantasy plastic boss kit. Out of the box it's only nob-sized, but that box, the AOBR boss, and some bits from the Nobz box could make a cool character.

You could convert one from an Ogryn if you were feeling ballsy.

Androgynous Daemon Prince of Slaanesh

You don't like the AoBR one? To each their own, I understand, but I LOVE that model. I keep meaning to ask for one in a trade that is unpainted, just so I can paint him up and put him on my shelf. I think I'll name him 'Priscilla.' Laugh all you want, but my Slaanesh Lord in fantasy was named 'Petunia' and everyone just ran away from him/her/it. The nickname for Petunia was "Incredible Hulk"-4+ ward, regen, any time it causes wounds, it gains wounds, any time it takes a wound it gains attacks. Ahhhh, the good old days of Chaos...Madder Petunia gets, stronger Petunia gets.
Anyway, back on topic, if you have an AoBR ork boss and wanna get rid of him...just hit me up
And black orcs will make great bosses too-tons of armor (head to toe), and tons of axe weapons and such. You could make something truly nasty with them, just add a klaw and/or slugga-type gun arm.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Um, I wrote this over 2 years ago... I'm not sure why anyone is responding to this now.
I have the FW biker warboss and a mek now, which I will be doing PM blogs for starting in a week or so most likely.

It's called thread necromancy; usually someone sees a topic in a search and posts in it without checking the date.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
