Basically going to my first GW tournie in Jan and I've been putting my Orks together, and I noted reading around the forums that wysiwyg is adamant and folks can get funny if you use counts as models etc, in some situations they are banned.

So I was hoping to pick the brains of any tournie go-ers who might have seen the rules in action and know if I will have any trouble with the following.

1) Whats the view of models having grenades on they for look if they don't have them in the unit entry?

2) Would a converted Trike counting as a Warbuggy cause me any issues. Its not an uncommon conversion, back of a Warbuggy, front replaced by one of the new Ork bikes type jobby?

3) Storm Boyz, using the hanging on Grot to represent a Back Banner. Basically I've lopped off the Grenade head and pinned a Ork back banner there, he's attached to the Nob's rocket as if flying alongside holding the banner?

Do I have anything to worry about there?

Man, this really needs to be a sticky.

As with any tournament question taht asks what is allowed and such, the only person that can actually answer that question is the tourney organizer.

With that said,
1. as a general rule, minor bits like grenades, most swon't care either way, have them on the model but not bought or vice versa.

2. Sounds like a nice conversion, nope, that should be fine.

3. Again, sounds like a fun conversion, shouldn't be a problem. got a pic?

All of those seem like acceptable conversions, though you should be sure to explain them to your opponents before the game.

Yeah, anything that's heavily converted or out of the ordinary should always be pointed out and explained. I play a heavily converted IG army, made from lizardmen models, real turtle shells converted into chimeras/hellhounds, etc etc. I always spend a couple minutes pointing things out. Heck, even my 'regular' human IG I do that with, since the models are sometimes older than my opponents as my human IG is all old RT-era models. The old over the shoulder heavy weapons tend to really confuse people.

Okies, cheers for the advice and thanks for the quick replies.

As to a pic or two, aye for sure, but I've still got some work to go yet, so probably in a few days.

Thanks.

Going to undercoat these shortly, with hopefully plenty of time to get them painted.
