I've had it since last Friday, apparently Game Stores got it before Book Stores did.

And how long will I have to wait for the translation? The next release in Spanish is Mechanicum from HH. And The Saint omnibus on November 24th. Wich I will buy just for collecting even having the books separately in my shelves... lol
Looks like years have gone since I read Only in Death.
I really hate waiting for translations. I could buy them in english but I wouldn't undestand it very well. I bought HH Collected Visions in english and I still haven't finished. I just look at the illustrations like a kid lol And more, just one month after buying Collected Visions, it was released in Spanish... and I'm thinking about buying it xD
Dagnabbit! Who changed the mystery title?! WHO?! Curse yooooooouuu!
Spoiler:
Also: Finished Blood Pact five minutes ago. Awesome. But ends on a bit of a downer note, as Abnett is preparing us to lose a core part of the Ghosts and setting up the new cycle(which looks to be aimed at Sek)
Spoilered at request...
Although not sure there's anything whatsoever I gave away that hasn't been talked about by Abnett or Black Library.

@kanluwen: Could you please spoiler-out the bit about how the book ends and future book plans? May not seem like a lot to you, but for those of us who like to keep in what little surprise a 40K novel offers, it's kind of a bit more than one might want to know. Thanks.
Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Great read, but IMO not his best.

Check out my gallery here Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
Anyways, Ive had it sitting on my shelf for like a week (go amazon preorder, even in germany theyre quick as a bunny), but i gotta finish deathtroopers first
Im a big fan of Abnett and the ghosts though, so Im sure itll be a good read
I read it at the end of August when the advance copies went out
the book is a good read, and well written, but it doesn't really hold up compared to the rest of the series.
The characters are all older and worn out, and it felt almost like they were "tired" and that Dan may be tired with them, which is a shame.
Several of the "first company" characters are in the book for a line or 2, almost like name dropping.

Question about that spoiler:
Spoiler:
I mean, Abnett's already killed off or removed from play his most interesting characters: Milo, Corbec, Bragg, Soric - I mean, frankly, it's part of what makes Abnett a good writer - he's willing to sacrifice his best characters for drama. Who's left that their elimination would tug at your heartstrings? I can only think of a few: Rawne, Dorden, Larkin, Mkoll. I mean, I guess he could get rid of Criid, Kolea, or Brostin, but the Criid/Kolea thing's already been played out and Brostin, while a fun character wouldn't be that huge of a loss. I mean, unless you're actually going to off Gaunt himself, but then you can't really continue the series as Gaunt's Ghosts...

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack
I just finished it myself... REAL spoiler the kind that makes your eyes bleed.
Spoiler:
This book to too much stick and not enough carrot, I felt it was a prologue to the next book. Mabbon has info that is not disclosed and that was the the carrot for me, tell me something more then his info has lead to another deployment! Like seriously. I was half way throught the book when I realised the whole thing would be about the philia chasing Mabbon down. The action was good and though mabbon was interesting, The only thing I really wanted to know was what he knew.. and Im denied. pah! I did like the comment on how history gets everything wrong though. Also Im tired of the cant jokes.. seriously. Abnett does write tight though, everything mentioned is used in the story there is no pointless scenes IMO. I would give it 4 out of 5 but Im disappointed in only being lead through a ramble on balhuat so I give it 3 out of 5.
