Grrr this must be one of the longest time waiting for a unit to finish , weather isnt cooperating for me to spray them! But atleast one is done -_-
Not sure about the colors , there must be atleast 4 coats of paints on the padded armor and forest spirits as i cant decide on a color scheme.

Suggestions are needed because it'll be applied onto the rest of the units ( they are half painted awaiting for armor color )

- What armor color do you guys suggest?
- Should i get rid of the blue hue on the sword? or add more?
- Are there such things as decals used on fantasy miniatures? im tempted to add something to his shoulder pad or hood?

WOW. That is very nicely done. Makes me want to start my wood elf army right now...

I think light browns will look good on the armour, cementing the woodland theme. The blue hue of the sword looks good, leave it the way it is!

Once again, good job!

Nicely done, the light browns look good to me as well. Seeing as they are wood elves, and not the most regimented race ever, they could have different shades of brown through the unit... And you could also play with varnishing the armor, make it shiny like treated animal hide perhaps?

By the way, I was a little disappointed to find that it wasn´t in fact a Bear holding a standard, but a bearER of one.... :S

WOW, the banner work and the sprites are very well done.

Any reason why the banner shaft is green though? Seems to get lost with all the rest of the green on the model.

I like using brown tones as leather for the cloths, rather than metal. Like this guy: http://coolminiornot.com/227427 this is a mini I still have pending to paint, but I will use a similar colour scheme.

But can't help you very much, because other schemes are cool:

Edit: about decals. The old models of Wood Elves came with decals, I have some from the Wood Elf Blood Bowl team, and also were available separately in blister. But I don't think they would look very good in the new style minis. I would rather try some small free-handed rune, or any symbol.

Ahh , i was trying to finish it with the time set for it . But you are right , if anything the command group should be done properly ><
Seems like i also have to clean up the banner , the blue wash seems to have mixed into the green white mix -_-

@Erasoketa , thanks for the color samples , even though the lord have different type of armor ( no pads ) i still love the color scheme in the list ^^v

Good work as always Luna. Is this part of the Princess Monoke army?

Looks good Luna. I think the blue hue works well with the rest of the piece. A minor quibble, the black boots might tie in better if they were a dark brown. Still. Fantastic work. I like the winged sprite myself a lot.

I love this model Luna. The colours used on the forest spirits on the banner, particularly the red/purple blended one is perfect. I also prefer the yellowish coloured armour over the darker leather coloured plates. All in all, great work!

Nope the Elves side are my cousin's minis , ( mine are the dryads + some werewolf that i havnt glue together yet )

Mononoke stuff are on hold as i have no idea how to use green stuff , so i would need to figure out :

-making the anime forest spirits ( green stuff balls piled together i guess lol... )

-finding a stag of some sort the main char rides ( need to find company that sells these ) Does anyone know exactly what this animal is called?

-making a giant night walker some how ( scratch built no doubt , but dunno how )

-bunch of boars ( hmm... GW boars? probably used as Wild Riders )

-lord of forest spirit: again need to find a giant stag mini + scult a new face. This will be Orion his hounds would be the 2 wolf pups (babies yes but gigantic o_o )

-one GIANT wolf , probably easier buying a mini statue from Indian shops... ( oh hey this is good idea for Space wolf players )

-princess , need to find a mini with No armor + dagger , i'll GS her a mask

I think the animal is called an Elk... but I am not sure.
Whatever it is, it is easily trhe best character in the film!

The film called it a red elk.

The statues for wolves seemed either A: Out of scale too badly.. or B: unusable due to pose..

Again you did a fantastic job painting.
Dont feel bad about having troubles figuring out how to paint them. It happens sometimes. My Orks, I got the colors down in 2 tries, my SM though.... Ive had them since I was 16(25 now) and I STILL havnt ever figured a color out. Oh well Im getting rid of them lol

They look great. The banner guy looks sweet. I would personally do the bows a different colour although they do look good green. The bone-ish colour of the pole would look v.nice on the bows!

Everything looks very clean, which is good as sometimes people go to crazy on wood elves.

And as for the scorpion looking armour...

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports.

Watch it, be careful on what you say about us "Indians" (freakin' columbus), most of us are crabby, and hate being talked about. Not me, of couse .
Also I tried, not detailed enough, mostly the wood ones.
