In many different topics I always see people talking about past special armies from the days of yore like IW, NL, etc.(mainly in chaos discussions) but what are some of the groups the folks of dakka would like to see again even if it was an event thing like Eye of Terror?

hmm, i really loved the 13th company. They were just the right mix of conversions, brutality, and personality.

Actually that whole book was good. DAMN YOU G-DUB!

I miss my Ulthwe Blackguardians and Seer councils with extend range power.

But I do wish they would do the Chapter Approved again. It was fun sometimes to just play those odd ball armies.

Iron Warriors getting their own sublist would be nice, although you can do a pretty good job fielding them with codex: CSM.

And I'll definitely put a vote in for Genestealer Cult. Armored limousines, infiltrating hordes of militia, all kinds of cool stuff. Would go well with a LatD combined list, to tell you the truth.

I would like to see all craftworlds and legions it nice to have options.

LatD: unlike craftworlds and legions, they really can't be well-approximated by other lists.

They should be one of the game's major factions.

I would love to see some more emphasis on some of the chaos undivided legions especially alpha legion and night lords.
I never played when LaTD were popular. I'm afraid I don't get it. Couldn't you just take a bunch of IG and paint chaos sigils on them? I mean weapons and stats are all the same right?

I miss the old catachans codex. Ambush rules and immobile super snipers were just fun. The lack of vehicles made for a really unique style of guard army that hasn't been seen since. Too bad there is no way to re-create the shoot through 12" rule. It really pissed my opponent's off.

IW can't be quite simulated since chaos has no tech priest, bionics, or basilisks

Genestealer Cults would be a cool add on for the new tyranids.

Well LatD wasn't just chaos IG they had speacial rules and Mutants!

I would like to see some of the named Craftsworlds, 13th Company and the IW get some love. Though I do think out of my picks I can easily use my 13th company in my SW lists by using the Wulfen in place of my guys with marks. I suppose if I wanted to do an old IW I could maybe try to use a combo of allies SM and IG. Ok so still gonna go with Craftworlds, Genestealer Cult and LatD FTW!

I know.. Dwarves in SPpppaaaaaccccee.. .but come on.. Now we have Wolfs riding giant Wolfs and "Generic demons" for Chaos.. .. miniature Harley bikers are just NOT that bad.

I know they stunk on the tabletop, but purely fluffwise.. lotta fun.
