Link below takes you to a very good article on putting the Doomwheel together.

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=&categoryId=§ion=&pIndex=0&aId=6000022a&start=1

This is is the kind of the content that should be more prevalent on GW's website.

Ah, now this is a welcome addition. That thing looks like a pain for a newbie to assemble properly.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I think I need something similar for my new blood slaughterer. Useful article. He is obviously a fan of Devlan Mud.

Isn't everyone? Devlan Mud makes it all better. Devlan Mud tells me to hurt people. At first I didn't think that it was right, but then I got more Devlan Mud and it was all better. I'd never hurt my Devlan Mud...

That's a really good article for an advanced-level model. Definitely one of the most complex kits GW has ever produced and the article is a good fit for it.

Huh?

The only problem assembling the Slaughterer was the legs and getting them all in the right position to sit flat. No instruction book in the world would be able to help with that.

Church: So it is a sword, It just happens to function like a key in very specific situations.
Caboose: Or it's a key all the time, and when you stick it in people, it unlocks their death.

When I first saw that thing, I was sure I would have to do 90% of the painting on the sprue. Now, It seems like not such a daunting prospect. That's the sort of help they used to put in White Dwarf all the time. Oh well, at least they went to the effort in one media, if not the other. And you can look at the website for free!

I agree. I'm tryng to do those kind of articles for the DP9 site as well, if we release any 'complex' kits. (I did one for the new combat mounts for example.)

They're a good way to combine 'model porn' with good customer support info, and I think they can help sell models... I know the old GW IG Tank aricles made me want to build some tanks.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

There is also a Skaven banners pdf which might be of use to people.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

They have actually put quite a few articles up like this over the past few months including one for the Drop Pod (great as the instructions for that are just wrong, and don't even mention you can make the bolter rotating), the Rhino, the Hammerhead and the Stegadon, most of them including the painting too. The website has really started to improve over the last six months and they are adding useful articles most days now.
