To give my army some extra fluff I have them take trophy weapons from opponents that they have beaten.

Marine lootas?

Interesting, how do you feel about the fluff that the imperium has a hatred of all alien tech?

This is something that comes up a lot for me at the shop. Think of them like trophies (That is why they are painted gold) taken from opponents. Everyone is about to start taking bets on when my force turns chaos.

I think its a cool idea to take "trophies" on minis. Specially when its an epic kill

Well you got me as a fan of this army, although I do admit im not the biggist fan of the unflufflike stealing of dead opponents weapon; I will support you for doing it as it is different in the overall and it gives your army a distinct feel to it.
cheers

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Nice idea.

I think the best way of countering the "unflufflike" calls is falling back on the fact that there are a huge number of different chapters with different methods and preferred styles. Hell, half of the chapters appear to be borderline heretic anyway, so why not use your enemy's weapons against them (except for the problem of resupplying and working out how the hell they work in the first place ).

It might be a really good idea to "liberate" some berzerker armour as it was probably fabricated several thousand years before to a much higher standard using lost technology. Probably fine, as long as it is correctly reconsecrated to the Emperor.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
