I figure with Obama being far more radical than Carter and with the Fed printing money hand over fist, the price should perform similar to what it did in the late 70s. God help me if I'm wrong, though.

I bought the gold at $1137.00. The silver bar which is pretty heavy for being less than seven pounds, cost $1802. The prices include the markup ($25 for the gold and $59 for the silver. Nobody actually sells at "spot". I'm planning on selling once gold hits $2000 an ounce, unless that happens before 2011 in which case I'll hold out for $2500. Really wish I'd bought in when it was just $700 an ounce, though.
