So far I have 1 AoBR boss and 3 nobz

3 deffkoptas

2x of 10 boyz /w nob

2x zapp gunz made with lascannons from a LR

1x LR converted to a BW with Killcannon

So I was planning on getting 2 box sets of boys, grots and a box of nobz.

Or should I get something different to help complement my troops I already have?

A) What kinda points level are we talking about here?

B) Whay kinda list do you want to run?

There are about 10 threads on the first page of the forums here right NOW about Ork army lists, quite a few of them absolutely terrifyingly good. Why don't you read some of them and get some ideas? Then talk about specific implications for you and your gaming.

Ok I've read through all of them already and I was really not wanting to do a list with to many Battle wagons but try too have some of heavy guns supporting my infantry moving up. I'm probally going to go for 1000-1500pts.

Also I converted some zap gunz are they good? or should I just use them as regular cannons?

Do you think I buy a big mek with KFF in here and a pain boy for my nobz

Read some of the other lists that aren't battlewagon intensive.

As for your list, here's my suggestions:

1. Put those deffkoptas into your fast attack slots, give them TL Rokkits.

2. Decide if you want a mechanized or foot slogging green tide list. Don't combine them, pick one or the other.

3. If you want a mechanized list, get some trukks, drop the killakannon from your converted LR.

4. If you want a foot-slogging list, buy more boys.

5. Use your Zzap guns for now; auto-shaken is nice. Later on, you'll find out how much better other heavy support choices are.

6. If you're going to get some gretchin, you want 29 of them. Check on e-bay for OOP gretchin unless you really want to shell out for GW prices for these incredibly overpriced models. 29 gretchin + 2 runtherders, and you use them to give the rest of your green tide army a 4+ cover save as they advance up the field.

Hmm I was really thing about going mech because I really like the trukks, so what should I do with them I was thinking Boarding plank, Red paint job.

1.) I was wondering are Wreaking balls good on trukks or just a waste.

2.) What do you think should go on my battle wagon or should I just leave it for a bare nob transport?

3.) I also want my army to be slightly original so what things in the ork army are barely used but still sightly competitive?

Barely used and slightly competitive isn't a good combination of words.

They're either completely useless or worth using.

I have to admit I'm a little offended that you know so little about Orks, but are so willing to decry the PLETHORA of army lists floating around as unsuitable for you because they're lame and an auto-win. The only Ork army list that really gets knocked for being cheesy is the nob biker army. And you know what? You could field a Nob biker army, and I could field another ork army list, and I'd wager that I'd stomp you into the table. And then we could switch exact lists and I'd wager that I'd stomp you into the table again. Yeah; I know that sounds cocky.

An army list is an army list. Its ability to win or lose completely depends on the player behind it, their intelligence, competence, and tactical application on the table as a general.

I think you should abandon the idea that all the lists floating around here are cookie-cutter lists that end up in "I wonder how long this is gonna be till I win 3-4 turns *Yawn*.

Now, with that said....let me revisit my original advice to you; its even more poignant now. Read the ork army list threads on here. If they're cookie-cutter lists and you don't want to use them....that's fine. That will nicely narrow out the units that you don't want to use for YOUR list.

Want a fun and semi-competitive list that no one else plays? Put 180 gretchin on the table for 6 troop choices, three squads of zzap guns on the table for anti-tank, some deffkoptas or warbuggies as mobile anti-tank, and go nuts. No one ever plays like that, it'll be wildly fun, and has enough troops to simply overwhelm anything.

I'm sorry if I offended you I was just stating how I felt, Every time I see a list its almost always the same I just want to mix it up, I want to try something a bit different, If I made you mad i'm sorry i'm just trying to see what i'm going to make my army with and what i'm going to use.

That army you said would be super fun to play with, but I just don't have the cash to drop on something like that and it would take me ages to get.

I was just wanting some advice on what is good without lossing the main point of the game, having fun with friends.

Could you just give me a sample list atleast on how you would do this list with the stuff I have avalible and mech it up some more? Please, just to give me a faint grasp at what im going to get to round out my army. Still i'm sorry if what I said made you mad, i'm not trying to offend anyone just trying to get my list rounded out with some good ideas so I will know exactly what I need to get.

I know i'm just a weedy grot and probally don't know what i'm doing so could you just give me a kick in the right direction and I'll run that way and try not to stop.

Thanks but I'm probally just going to let this thread go under and wing it myself, I don't really feel like i'm doing any good posting this and i'm still stuck here with almost all the same questions I started with.
