Yea.. that was in the 3rd editon tau codex, wasn't it? It's sad that they cut out alot of the creative qoutes and fluff out of the codex's these days...

I've not seen the Tau 3rd Edition codex, but that particular one was taken from the 4th Edition codex. I don't know if they cut out fluff, but I think that Tau seems to have a lot of rich descriptions and history behind the race and its origins in the codex.
