You've got three army lists posted on there, and I'm not trying to critique all three. If you want a big horde of shooty orks, lets start there.
1. Abandon your first army list, it isn't shooty enough, and in 1,000 points I honestly don't think vehicles and mechanized orks belong.
2. Abandon your third army list because it isn't shooty enough.

You also combine half strength lootas and half strength kommandos, neither of which uses ork strength - numbers.
Here's a very cool idea for 1,000 points and modifying your second army list a little bit:
3. Add a third unit of 15x Lootas. You're not going to see a lot of vehicles in 1,000 points, and Lootas are quite capable of dropping anything except for Land Raiders, which DEFINITELY are a rare sight in 1,000 points.
4. A Big Mek with a
KFF isn't really fitting in this list; that 5+ cover save that he grants is pointless next to the 4+ cover save you're going to have.
5. Kick your 13 gretchins up to 29 gretchins and add 1 Runtherder. 107 points for 29 Gretchin and 2 Runtherders. Stretch these little devils in a semi-circle around all three of your Loota squads, and all your lootas now have 4+ cover saves.

For a
HQ, try a Big mek with a Shokk attack gun.
6. I just realized that you had your Lootas inside battlewagons, the big mek giving them obscured. >< Difficult to do at 1,000 points; those two battlewagons cost you 25 points less than a full other squad of Lootas. In a shooty ork army, you want to first maximize your firing potential - so your first priority is to get lots of guns. Protect them later, but lots of guns first.

I'd drop the battlewagons, add a third squad of lootas.
7. In a shooty ork list, your shoota boys are kind of flanking/watching/waiting to deal with objectives - keep them in cover.
In the perfect game, your gretchin will be in cover. You can have them go to ground and get 3+ cover saves. At the same time, they'll grant all your Lootas 4+ cover saves. While you'll be granting 4+ cover saves to everything you're shooting at,
MEQs have 3+ saves anyway so there's no big deal, and if you're going to play against Orks, just modify tactics a little bit.
