In a little under 28 hours the MkII beta will be released, so let's have your initial thoughts.
The beta is released at 6pm local time so I should be playing it about an hour after it is released (printer dependant).
I'll be interested to see how my MkI 350 list of choice plays in MkII. I've specualted some points costs that'll I'll fix with the correct ones tomorrow.

I'm going to be taking a good hard look at most of the Legion warlocks. I've always loved playing Lylyth (especially in 350 Claw & Fang games), so I'll probably be looking out for how she plays now. My favorite all-beast list with her is: Lylyth Angelius Nephilim Nephilim It banked heavily on wings and glide for a blood lure assassination run, but with the changes from Wings -> Flight, I'm guessing it's going the way of the dodo. Otherwise I'll be very interested in the Striders and the Legion solos (except the Hellion which I find silly), but all the other infantry doesn't interest me that much. I'll need to look at Raptors too, since I really like their potential with ranged attacks and the new light cavalry rules. And Raeks ... gonna look at them good and hard. Love the model, but it's never been up to par. ~26 hrs to go

Having used a full unit of Soulhunters in MKII (now light cavalry) I can say that light cavalry has not been nerfed beyond use. You do however have to choose your targets with care. Light cavalry are still great at manoeuvring (effective 21" run for Soulhunters) and picking off light, dispersed infantry. What has changed is that you cannot charge a large block of infantry without support of some kind and expect to come off well next turn.

I think the stuff I am most curious about is probably pmorg, and the unit of farrow brigands I have had since they first came out. It would be nice if they could get some table time again.

Definitely. And with ranged attacks (I'm hoping that Raptors keep dual shot), then they're as deadly as they've ever been.

Possible, I think they're going to lose Swordmaster though (with no replacement).
PMorghul will (almost certainly) have some effect on Warjacks with his feat or gain a new one entirly. I wonder if he'll get a fury bump like Amon got a Focus bump.
Dunno about Farrow Brigands, the only Minion unit I own are Gatormen and Swamp gobbers who are both staring down the barrel of a (nerf) gun. With good reason.

I think the gators will probably lose an attack and maybe some wounds. The gobbers I am not so sure of, maybe a big points bump, not sure If I would use them at 3 points.

PMorghul may not get a fury bump -- I think Amon only gained fury because he had a mechanic that generated focus (Medatitive Stance) that was removed, so he got a bump to 6 focus in return.
Swamp gobbers will likely have to drop their smoke template such that they are inside of the cloud effect and they will likely lose some Def (See Gobber Mechanics).
As for the Gators, I expect them to retain 8 wounds (all foot medium based infantry kept 8 wounds in WM), but they will likely lose an attack (tail slap?) and lose the ability to do super damage to wounded models.

Judging by Trenchers and Gorman, Swamp Gobbers have to stand in their own smoke. Spray templates will do the rest.
I'm expecting Gatormen to lose their 'boosted attacks' ability given the recent Boodgorgers rewrite.

I would be pretty happy if they gave morg groundwork and made his feat a bit more competative, and maybe cra an the farrow.

I think you're right about Raptors. They might also lose weapon master, but we'll see soon enough.
I hope that they allow Farrow Brigands (not necessarily Bone Grinders) in some Merc contracts. Not because I own them, or play any mercenary contract that'd be eligble to use them, but they're such nice models that deserve more table time.
I think Gobbers will be 2 pts., lose the concealment action and have to stand in their own cloud.
And I simultaneously fear and long to see Brun & Lug and Gudrun. My Searforge have been without them for soooo long!

Merc contracts are the same as their MkI incarnations until the new contracts are released.
That means Saxon Orrick and Gudrun still work for their respective contracts.

Page 49 of the Hordes MkII Field Test Document. Bottom of the left column. -ahem- "A minion warlock counts toward the maximum number of warlocks in an army. etc." This has been confirmed on the PP boards to NOT be referring to the Minion Lesser Warlocks. I thought the headache that resulted from whether Mercenaries were or weren't a faction would prevent Minions from ever getting regular warlocks. I guess I was wrong. Woohoo! Minion Warlocks!

Doomshaper is waaay more dangerous now, I think. With D6 damage on his feat turn it actually really nastily locks you down.

Borka -5
Mauler 9
Blitzer 9
Impaler 5
Champions 10
Fell Caller 3
Hero 3
Gobbers 1
___
40-5 = 35
While ARM 18 multi-wound weaponmasters with a KD melee weapon sounds
enticing, this list is going to play a bit differently than what I've gotten
used to.
Turn 1
Champions and Hero:
*Run into B2B ahead of Borka
Borka:
*Cast and Upkeep Mosh Pit
*Cast Far Strike on Blitzer or Impaler
*Drop 1 Fury
*Advance
Warbeasts
*Run
Fell Caller
*Open Road as needed, or Run
Combat Turns
Keg Carrier
*Tops Off Borka for 1 Fury
With 5 Fury Borka can camp 1 Fury while still casting
*2 Far Strikes, 2 Bum Rushes Or 1 of each
If Far enough away, Far Strikes on the Blitzer or the Impaler
Feat Turn
Borka with Rage, Tops Off, Mosh Pit, Barroom Blitz and War Cry =
11" Charge
13" Threat
a melee weapon that can slam
5 Fury
Prevents spells and upkeeps
P+S 19
I don't know. The Fury management of it all worries me.

I agree, but it also might end up hurting Morvahna in the long run. If you're taking advantage of Seeds of Destruction, you're losing out on Harvest. And of course both are completely uselss against Cryx.

But it increased in usefulness against eight other factions, it's a start. It needs an undead provision like eSeverius's feat has.

All right, after re-reading Morv's rules, it's not so bad. Only the guys directly killed by melee attacks while Seeds of Destruction is up are RFP. The enemy models in the blast area are still destroyed as normal (and thus give Morv Fury due to Harvest). The key thing is that you can Throw an enemy model and it'll blow up wherever it lands.
Also, regarding Cryx, Harvest triggers on "enemy model destroyed". It's Eruption of Life that needs living enemy models for its extra benefits. It'll suck having your one offensive spell being ridiculously inefficient against them, but Circle packs enough Magical Weapons, etc. to cover for it.
And SoD blows up living enemy models only, but I suspect you're right, George. In my previous outings with Morvahna, I wouldn't even use the feat. Now at least I'll actually use it against armies that aren't all undead or all jack.

thats NASTY.
Legion can just pop out anywhere they place and strike ;P

Did legion lose a lot of immunity to free strikes? I just read the cards and didn't see that wings granted that.

Yes they did.
It was expected, as in the WM Mk 2 rules wings were changed to the format they are with legion.
