Subject: Which Army Next?

I am looking into expanding my 40K forces.
Currently I have a Daemonhunters / Grey Knights army and a large Tyranid force that will grow even more with the new codex.
I am keen on alot of different armies in 40K but cant decide what to do next.
Dont really like IG or standard codex Marines.
And my main opponents have Chaos Marine, Daemons and Orks.
I do like to build armies along a strong theme.
So. What do you think I should do next?
Thanks in advance

Honestly, Nurgle CSM armies are awesome. (Plague Marines!!!!) And all the other god-themed armies can be awesome too. Even if you "Main Opponents" play Chaos, CSM is one of the most versatile armies, and it gives you tons of different themes to explore. Most likely, if you start CSM, your CSM will be different than his CSM. And you could also do a mixture of all themes. I really recommend CSM.
Other than that, Orks can be fun.

I want to keep away from my opponents armies. I get to do afew models for CSM because the army belongs to my wife. She is working on all gods. The same with her Daemons.
I dont know much about the other armies out there. Or what can be done with them.
Was after a little advice before I start buying things Ill never use

Tau or Eldar would be my suggestions - they're not in your playgroup, so they'd be a welcome change.

I know you said that you want to keep away from your armies, but I still think Orks is the army for you. They can be geared for anything, even shooty, plus in a casual gaming enviroment they are beyond compare for interesting battles, very laid back, very fun.

"I can envision a world with no war, pain, or strife, were peace is constant, then I envision attacking that world because they'd never see it coming."
- Orks, 4175 points
- The face of an opponent when you lose five dozen models and say "that's it?", priceless. |
