Hi everyone,

I starting collected orks awhile ago. Then I quit. Now I'm comign back

Anyway, I was thinking of getting Bad Moons (since my 20 Ork Boyz from before are unpainted)

But I think I will go for a Freebooterz army instead since I want to focus on Flash Gitz (I don't care if they're disliked, I like the idea of making your own and the fact that they're unpredictable).

So, Just a few questions.

1. The Freebooterz would have regular boyz, right? Not just Rich Nobz? Should I add some things to the boyz to make them look richer?

2. Is there a specific colour scheme for Freebooters? If not, what would be a suiting colour? I'm guessing Bright Colours...?

3. Which HQ should I use? Freebooterz don't have Warbosses, do they?

Alright, thanks in advance.

I'd paint them in a Bad Moonz color scheme - lots of yellows and black. If you don't want a warboss, I'd recommend a Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun. They're really shooty and can do loads of damage. Just attach them to a squad of gretchin for some ablative wounds and you're all set.

As for Flash Gitz? You're on your own there pal. Most people will chime in to say how terrible they are, which is a shame since they've got great fluff and some good ideas behind them.

Freebootaz tend to be bright stand-out-ish colours, so lots of bright yellows and blues.

In terms of builds, i would go with a pirate captain like warboss (the rich boss who hired everyone)

Failing that, you could have a big mek who looks after and builds thier weapons

a unit of flashgitz with badrukk fits the character well.

everyone needs basic boyz, why would a rich ork do all the bad jobs when theres a boy about?

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Freebooters are just the remanents of a Waaaaaaaaagh! They can be form any clan, or multiple clans. Some become a sort of "Mercanary" group, but most just form a mix and matched army that tags onto other, larger armies. Freebooter groups range from a single squad, to a vast armada. f you want to make orks look rich give them extra bitz everywere. Add scopes (not that it helps their aim), bayonets, armour plates, and if it is purely for fluff then also give them eavy armour. If your already taking flash gitz you might as well.

Is that the orks that made the mistake of entering in the PIMP MY RIDE (warmachines special)?
