Well two friends and me are almost ready to begin buying LOTR minis. I plan collectig Easterlings plus Haddrim one friends not sure and the other osgilath themed Gondorians. Wondering if its A:worth it, fun to play so on and B: cost effective.

A: There's no way to tell. We don't know what sort of games you like. Even if we did, We could warn you off and you still might have fun, or we could really cheerlead the game and you could find it the biggest yawn-fest.

B: Of course it's not cost effective. You put money in and get pleasure out, and pleasure is such a subjective thing. That's why it's called a hobby.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Whilst Fellblade makes the most logical sense, I'd say it's somewhat cost effective. The mini's are cheap, and you'll need probably 2 Boxes and 3-4 Blisters to enjoy the game.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

Strategy Battle Game (LOTR) is much cheaper to get into than WOTR. If you like detailed skirmish level play with a focus on heroics, it's probably up your alley. The miniatures are generally very good quality and a lot of them are plastic and cheap by GW standards.
