Anyone found excellent miniatures which would be better Demonettes than the GW minis?

I recommend converting witch elves. That's what I did before the 3rd/4th edition daemonettes came out. Now I have a mix of 2nd, 3rd, and 5th edition of daemonettes with a bunch of my converts thrown in as well. Having the mixed units give my squads a nice feel of pretty to hideous which may represent the enchantments used by the daemons.
The benefits is that you are still using GWS models so they are tournament legal and the claws are fairly easy to make. Automatically Appended Next Post: Or you could leave the witch elves with normal hands and have them represent the daemonettes when they are fully glamoured.

I know there's a company that makes some really sweet metal Daemonettes, at least in a mounted variety. I don't know if they make ones on foot as well. To make it worse I don't even know the name of the company off hand...

You mean gamezone miniatures, they don't make infantry versions unfortunately.

Been having a look myself and found some interesting ones at Darksword - never bought from them so no idea if model sizes are compatable with GW
Have a look here http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/gallery/e_2008_demoness.htm
Also rate some of the dragons in the Elmore gallery.

I use the Fomorian Sirens from Celtos - still sold by Brigade Models. Still not as good as the recently OOP metal Daemonettes, but what is?

If that mini is NSFW where you are, then so would the recently OOP minis. That being the case, why would you click a link for Daemonettes while at work?

Get the old versions of them.
You can either try for the gold and get with no shirts on, or giant crab claws.
Who doesn't love Giant Crab claws?

Try and get the old ones. They're better in every way except for the fact that they're metal.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |
