I think Gwar2 made the account to inform others for his disappearance , i dont see him making additional drama out of the new account , i hope mods dont add additional punishment for that.

I think i shall assist gwar in YMDC while he is gone this month

Thanks for the link, and while Gwar! certainly earned his ban having it be for a picture is rather ridiculous. Though Waaagh_Gonads has a real fething hard on for 'offensive' pictures, so that really doesn't surprise me at all.

Yes but the question here is some of us really believe it wasnt intentional + there are others that posts profanity and such
and never get banned.

Wow, simply wow, what the feth was the MOD smoking that day?
Maybe they should think about it for a while, since ive seen tons of people post pics with swearing in them.
Not only do they not get banned, they dont even get the pic eddited most of the time.

TBH, i think a MOD has over-reacted seriously.
Maybe it should be the MOD that gets looked into rather than the contents of Gwars post.

Lets face it, who the feth wants a trigger happy MOD roaming about? if thats the case, then i might aswell go aswell.
Might "offend" said MOD if i carry on with this post too much.

I know, it wasn't toward's Gwar's ban rather the way the comment above sounded about it. He mentioned it was unintentional, but there must have been a few things leading up to it. There have been a few lately so maybe they just got tired of it and decided to be a little stricter. But, look on the brightside, it was going to be a permaban and got changed down to a month long ban instead. Also, it didn't seem intentional to me either.

Must have been a really really bad word though.

Yeah I have to agree it seemed a bit harsh and uncalled for... as said theres plently of pics with swearing and unsuitable content for this "Family Environment" not to mention Ive even seen some pictures posted by mods themselves that while they may not be directly unsuitabe, they sure as heck refer to something vulgar or unsuitable.
So this does indeed seem a bit unfair imo..

Complaining about the mod's actions is only likely to make it worse.

Don't know the picture in question but I've had a picture or two deleted before as well so I understand the Dakka moderators take it relatively seriously.

On the subject of Gwar specifically something tells me that it was more of culmination of warnings/discontent about him rather than just one specific incident; although I'm not sure how offensive that word in the picture was. I will be leaning towards the "it was the straw that broke the camel's back" cliche though.

Cane, they dont allways take warnings and previous offences into account.

Not having a dig here, but stelek was warned and suspended until MOD's were blue in the face, there are also other members who follow that pretty much the same.

Gwar hasnt recieved half as many warnings.

Pics with offensive language get posted all the time on here.
They are either edited out or left most of the time, sometimes even posted by MOD's.

So i dont see how this was grounds for a 1 month ban, let alone a threat of a perm-ban.


I just think its a MOD who is a little on the edge.
