This old GW Kommando was molded I believe in 1991 (making him dang near Rogue Trader era) and I'm almost done with him. I always loved this figure (despite his ugly facial sculpt) and I have the whole set. I was going for a kind of Soviet Drab for his Fatigues (To go better with his green skin). I am also going for a very subdued color scheme to go with his *Blood Axe Kommando Fluff but I feel he is missing something so I'm putting him out there to ask what others think he may be missing. Thanks in advance...

Note: I know the eye needs to be cleaned up.

*My Blood Axe Kommando Fluff (Abbreviated) - A Blood Axe Kommando member of the Blood Skull Kommandos of the Iron Head War Band due to the Warboss, Grimrukk Ironskul, having an Iron Head (Known as the Death's Head War Band to the Imperium because of the same Iron Head)

Every model in that series has one.

No kidding? That honestly makes me want to buy a bunch just because of that.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Agreed. A look of malice in the eyes would really sell this.

WOW! Have you seen one of these in person?!? They're small even by Ork standards!

I like the idea. I'll have to give it a try though as I see what you mean, meaner eyes may be the key. His eyes are already cleaned up (as there is a lot of red overflow in those pics). It is such a tiny area, hmmm. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...

Stay tuned for updated image.

As someone who has just started trying to paint eyes properly, I can attest that although difficult, it is certainly possible. Though personally I'd be reluctant to try it after painting the rest of the model - I've been doing the eyes first.

Well, when you're right, you're right! MGS, I will listen to ANY advice you give! Now I just gotta finish him and his compatriots up and post some nice finals.

Misery. Missouri. Who can tell the difference.

Much better. I love the look of this model. I have a bunch old RT orks and see if they have that knife.
