So I ran into a problem with a game when I was running Thraka. He assaulted a carnifex, and is Thraka resolved at inititive 1 because of the power klaw or is there a some sort of way that he ignores the inititive drop since his profile has him as I:4, which brought the question why does his profile have him as I:4 when he cannot unequip the wargear.

Because he rolls for sweeping advance/Initiative checks/et al at I4.
See page 40 or page 8, for example.

But when he charges he still counts as I:1, then if sweeping advance happens it is resolved at I:4?

Several orks have a PK that they can't uneqipe, as mentioned before the initiative is for sweeping advances.

Pretty much, as the roll adds his initiative, which is 4.

His initiative stat is 4.
His close combat swings with his power fist are resolved at initiative 1.

It's not that complicated.

He is I4 when tests must be made.

He is only I1 when working out CC as his klaw reduces him to it.

Ok, I know Gorka but it even stumped the store owners and other players when I asked so I need to make note of this and show them so they can get the gist of it. This question came up because im kinda new with playing orks... Thank you guys for the quick feedback

Sure. I bet we can come up with a few more examples pretty easily...

It causes an Initiative test.

I'm trying to toss out a few examples where your initiative stat matters aside from sweeping advance.

When the book was written, he didn't have to use the PK, and could opt to hit stuff at I5 on the charge.

He was specifically allowed to not use the special rules of the PK, which has changed in 5th - if you have a special weapon you must use it, and must use all the special rules of that special weapon.

I can see it now:
Gaz towers over a puny commisar, ready to rip him in half.
Gaz; HAHAHA, time to die puny hommie, I is gonna slap the ugly out of you.
Commisar; don't I get to go first?
Gaz; Whaaaaaaaaaaagh!
Librarien; it's true Gaz, since you have a big hefty fist on one hand, you must use that hand to smite him
Gaz; ............ go ahead
Commisar punches Gaz but to no avail, then Gaz rips him into a bagilion pieces.

They were useful when the codex came out as you weren't forced to use the PK. There's still a use for them, ofc. You can stall CC with a walker by using grenades against it instead of your PK. For example charge a dread without DCCW and fail to destroy it. You are shielded against enemy shooting and can finish off the dread in the enemy CC phase, then be free to move in your own turn.
