Does anyone have any ideas on how to model Emperor's Tarot for Inquisitors? I suppose I could just stick some box-like bits on my inquisitor and say "it has tarot cards inside" but that kind of seems like a copout.

First thing I thought of was Gambit from the X-men.
Try modeling a swirl or fan of cards for him to select from.
I was thinking a bit like the Dark Elf model but finer.
The cards could be joined with sculpted light/smoke or other cards?
Really depends on which model you decide to use.
Second idea would be to have a robot/servo skull or something holding up/shuffling or
even spreading cards out on a tech table of sorts like magicians and street scammers do.
I'm sure Johhny 5 did it in Short Circuit but can't find a pic!
Food for thought.

If you could pull off the swirling cards, it would be incredible. Although you'd want a psykic inquisitor then.

If you have really thin plasticard, (or even paper that has been stiffened with super glue or PVA etc), you can create a rather cool swirling card effect.
Cut the cards to size, then super glue them together in whatever pattern it is you want to create.
For example in a fan or concertina shape running between his hands.
Then just paint the tarots on (or use the above method with the card design printed onto the paper).

I doubt I can pull off swirling cards with smoke, that sounds a bit too complex for me. I already have a servo-skull with him holding a psycannon, so a second one would be overkill.
For reference, I'm using a converted OOP Cadian General from the old command box as my Inquisitor. It gives him a really nice militant look, which is kind of what I'm looking for - a front-line Inquisitor joining up with the regiment. But, one of his hands is holding a sword and the other is tucked behind his back, so that makes having him hold the cards a bit more difficult.
I think I will model a psyker staff to the side of him projecting lightning that is holding 3 or so cards up.

Good luck you could build a carage or table for cards to be placed on.
