I recently got to paint up a Lukas the Trickster (for a client). Overall, this mini is a joy to paint, with a wonderful face.

I've posted more angles here.

Commentary is always welcome.

Great work!

This is another example of a mini that needs a solid paint job. GW's publicity model looks a bit... "special", but your brushwork definitely increases the appeal. Nicely done.

Great work. I think the muted palette works really well on this guy. His pose is flashy enough, too many bright colors makes him look like a deranged clown to me.

my 2 small critiques:
1) drill gun barrel please
2) i would like to see a little bit of glowy (even if its a muted color) on the plasma coil bit of the pistol.

overall its beautiful!

I agree with Bonchula for the Plasma Coil, but other than, absolutely fantastic!

I also enjoy your work on the face.

Speaking of his face, did anyone else notice this?:

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

The only critiques I would have, and they're small ones...are that the colors on his cape make it look more like a lion than a wolf and the plasma pistol is a bit bland.

Aside from those things, the model is absolutely beautiful. The face and hair are both spectacular, the armor is done very nicely, and the little details stand out. Even though I critiqued the colors, the cape is done very well!

Overall, a model I would be ecstatic to have in my own collection.

Thank you for the feedback.

Right now, I've got a bunch of Praetorians and some Space Hulk stuff on my table, I'll make sure to post those up when they're ready.

It states in the fluff that the pelt cloak he wears isn't a wolf, it's one of the other creatures of Fenris. A doppleganger, I think.

Hm... that is interesting.

From the look of the sculpt, the pelt looks like it might be from a Necromundan mutant rat (there's a bit of carapace armor, and the tail is not furry).
