I do love music, especially classical, and I was just put in a good mood by listening to some Beethoven and Mozart. I feel very refreshed and at peace. Music truly is one of God's greatest gifts to humanity. Please feel free to share your favorite songs and why you are so drawn to it. No bashing individual tastes please!

How is it they live in such harmony - the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know.

For music that resembles classical, most of the Bioshock songs do me in.

I love music because the melodies, when combined, are like the separate pieces of an engine, and when that engine runs with all the pieces together, in harmony, the noise it makes delights my soul.

Poetic jibberjabber, for sure, but it's true for me.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

Here's a guitar version of a Paganini's 5th caprice played by Jason Becker.

@Ivan - that's not a transcription, sorry mate.

This isn't my favourite piece of music, but it IS extraordinarily beautiful. Sit back, relax and put your feet up:

Erik Satie - Gymnopedie No.1

It was originally a piano piece, but I think I prefer the orchestral reading.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".
