Im stuck with a dilemma and would like some advice from the community as a whole. I do not want to spend the $$$ on a forge world titan, I do however own a stompa kit. I have already begun work on converting it to appear Imperial. With enough icons, weapons and general imperial bitz, would you allow someone to use a heavily converted Stompa model to "count-as" a warhound titan?

Part of my reasoning is, as you read some 40k novels, you find that sometimes Imperial forces commandeer vehicles of the enemy (Black Templars, Imperial Guard, Space Wolves from a few of their novels). So whats to stop a group of Imperial Guardsman, tank commanders and a couple young enginseers, commandeering a stompa, fitting it out with some imperial icons, weapons, etc?

I realize in Apocalypse you can use virtually anything, but primarily Im trying to avoid those moments where you can only use Allies and such...whew.

As long as it was obvious and the weapons were imperial then I wouldn't mind. One could always argue fluff wise that the imperial guard were fighting a protracted battle and reinforcements had been delayed etc and they were forced to modify enemy titans using parts from a destroyed warhound.

Thats part of the problem also is that I dont have titan weapons. I am heavily converting two sets of gigashootas to "count as" a vulcan megabolter and a turbo destructor.

If that doesnt work I guess I can call it a looted stompa for apocalpyse and bribe my opponents with cookies.

Doesnt have to be actual Imperial weapon, if its converted to look like a megabolter/turbolaser rather than a gigashoota fine by me. Just dont put any grots on them

Probably the best people to ask is your gaming group. A warlord is about 3 times as tall as a stomper. You'd be better off scratch building one, probably cost as much for the materials as a stomper, and would look a hell of a lot more like a warlord.

The other reason to ask your group: A warlord can totally control a game, it has a huge amount of firepower. Using a stomper for one is about like asking if you can use a predator for a Baneblade. Size ratios and firepower discrepancy are about the same.)

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Omg. I mean warhound titan not warlord sorry for confusion. I meant the warhound which is about the same size.

Techno-Heresy! Please report to your nearest Commissar for execution.

But seriously, if you make it very clear that its a Warhound then it should be ok, although you would have to do a LOT of work to change it.

The Stompa is to count as Warhound not Warlord. Even I would have an issue with Stompa/Warlord lol.

Just try your hardest to keep the chicken-leg style look to it. Stompa plates on it, showing patched armour and such, would be fine both for fluff and game mechanics. As long as they properly bless the armour with rites of protection and holy wards, a sheet of metal is a sheet of metal.

Proper blessings will be administered. As well as a giant aquila symbol (plasticard) across the massive belly.

I just finished the vulcan mega bolter, I will post a link to the project blog here tonight.

---Thanks to all for their comments and advice.

Better, just use it as a Stompa! You can add units from any army to your force in Apoc, so why not? Put an imperial guy and an Ork guy on top of the Stompa and have them hi-fiving each other, konversion finished!

Besides, check out all the weapons and cool stuff the Big Mek's Stompa gets. It is insane! Who needs a Warhound? Stompa is betta!

TYRANID ARMY and more for sale. Many Price Drops. 40K and More.

Yeah the idea that they needed to make something out of a destroyed enemy titan is good. As long as it isn't obviously Orky, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
