Hi everyone.

I'm sorry to asking so many questions rather than helping others. I'm back into the game after a big break and when I ask staff at the GW they generally mis-inform me in order to make units better (more sellable!).

I wanted to know - if I want to take Nob bikers as troops, does my warboss have to be on a bike. I can't see why he should according to my codex, but my pal tells me that this applies to Space marines and orks.

Any help greatly appreciated.


PS - I assume I'm not able to get five burnaboys into a battlewagon if I only put 15 boys in there. 1 unit per vehicle? Ak - how am I gonna be able to get my burnas up close? I can't get a trukk unless it's attached to a boys unit or so it seems.

I cannot see an issue either, seems fine to use the one unit of Nobz as troops and give them bikes. . . I shall read more though.

Also, yes -- one unit per transport.

It may be worth noting that you can take a Trukk as dedicated to boys (or whatever), and then embark the burnas into it ASAP.

It does apply to Space Marines. It doesn't apply to Orks.

Thw Warboss is allowed to count a unit of Nobs as Troops. There is no mention made of him having to have a bike in order to do so, whether the Nobs have bikes or not.

Yup, you can only have on unit in a vehicle at a time.

You could put them in the battlewagon on their own, or highjack a different mob's trukk after the game has started.

Your friend is probably thinking about how Wazdakka makes normal bikes troops.

That would be me! My bad, I kind of assumed it was the same circumstance for Orks in this respect as it was for marines... But obviously not!

Warboss just says a unit of nobz, so give em bikes if you want, still works!

As for SM its because its an HQ that makes bikers troops (aka biker SM list), so thats why hes on a bike!
