So me and me mum thought we would get a puppy as some company. I went online and theres was many sites with all types of dogs so me mum wanted a shih tzu. There were so many saying they were for adoption and wanted them to go to a nice home. So i spoke to this guy through email for a few days say how he wanted know want kind of person I was and if I had kids and stuff like that. He proper suckered me in and I though he was a nice guy. He said we can have him for free but we would have to pay a delivery agency to fly him from Belfast to Manchester for fee of 200 pounds so we though OK we will pay it coz we had set are hearts on him. I get an email saying I've just got back from the agency and dropped him of they will contact you and arange payment. So I get an email from "Petair Express" saying we would need to pay it into the account then it would checked and he would be flew out today sweet. Get to the bank and they say the details are wrong so we go back home email them back and ask for comfirmation on the details THEN they say you will need to pay it using a money gram (Which is untraceble as we found out) so then they say pay it into some cameroon account to some bloke as that is the head quarters. ALARM BELLS RANG its was a scam my mum was saying let take a chance, after a stern telling off she realised it was a scam. I emailed them back saying YOU THINK I'M STUPID YOU DUMB feths and gave them some abuse then they ring me and ask if I've payed the payment I gave them more abuse and a few more emails. So I get one back from the bloke saying I will be hearing from his lawers and then I get one from the agancy saying the same stuff. The bad thing was I was really excited about getting a puppy I'm just glad I didn't fork out any doh. So I went online and checked this out and its infected by scams like this with all kind of pets and other items so let be a warning. I didn't fall for it but many people have and will so dont get sucker in like me and no matter weather its a woman or an old lady looking to give a dog a home its a scam so be aware people.

TL DR

Ya in the states you kinda have to go to a breeder or pet adoption agency. Plus we have the ACA (American Cenal Assoc.) (mispelled I think) and you can always confirm through them about the breeder, and what not. Sad to hear that though as I have two dogs I love like children.

Take your neighbor's dog; it's easier, cheaper, and guaranteed to never backfire.

If you are British and want a pedigree dog, contact the Kennel Club for a list of reputable breeders. They will be happy for you to visit and look at the puppies.

Otherwise, Battersea Dog's Home always has a number of sad strays needing new homes, and you often see puppies advertised in local papers.

Funnily enuff my next door neighbore has a yorkshire terrior and next to them they have 2 shih tzus and a staff.

Hahaha!!! Seriously, mixed breed dogs are healthier and have a better temperament as well. Besides, you really should go to wherever they have the animals and see if there's a connection before making a commitment. Otherwise you might get stuck with a really lame pet. (And don't get a Ferret unless you really like cleaning up their little turds and looking under the furniture and buying new cords for all your electronics.)

Yep, that should be a warning to all the young'uns out there, inbreeding is bad, regardless of species.

There is a great book I heard of which "predicts" the evolution of humans far into the future. I really want to pick up a copy but for the life of me I can't remember who it is by, or what it is called. I will have a look for it now that I am reminded of it though.

And tough break about the dog, but at least you didn't fork out the money. Go to a dogs home as suggested above. It is a win, win, win situation (for you, the dog, and the home).
