I recently got the Mines of Moria set. My seven year old daughter and I assembled all the terrain and figures this week and are waiting on some nice weather to prime them and then paint them together.

We are reading The Hobbit as a bedtime story and she wants me to get some dwarves to make up the party from the book. Any one have any dwarves which may be suitable for good ol' Thorin and company? Or at least have any idea what dwarves may be good, don't have to be GW but must fit the scale of the LOTR figures in the Mines of Moria set?

Also, I am hoping to get an extra plastic cave troll figure (preferably unbuilt and unpainted).

Thanks for any help!

There is Mithril, theres 2 Thorins and a couple of his posse.

I do like the Thorin in war gear model

They produce a lot of LOTR and Hobbit miniatures, they have a license to do so as long as it for a RPG I think (may be the same license GW had back in the 80s?). There 32mm scale models are a match for GWs scale.

Hope thats some help

I worry that '32mm' will be big compared to the GW LOTR figures, they seem pretty slim/smaller than the 40K line fo figures.

Having said that, the Mithril figures are nice. Thanks for the link!

If you picked up a box of Dwarven Rangers, you could paint them up to have the different coloured cloaks and beards from the book. They're the right scale, and they have cloaks and hoods.
hope that's helpful, I've often considered converting up Thorin and Company for nostalgia's sake.
