Hey just wondering if i can have a demon prince use its lash of submission on one unit, then assault a different unit?

Pat that askala, O-H-I hate this stupid state

No it is used in the shooting phase and is what i would say a shooting attack and with shooting you cant shoot one unit and assault a different one.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

Sadly even if men don't, huge crazed deamons do.

today I just made myself a hypocrit...tried out lash for the first time, pie plated an entire command squad after nicely clumping together. Now I see what the giant fuss is about, god damn that power is crazy.

The eye of terror.

Eh, rhinos foil it nicely, and Chaos doesn't actually deal really well with mass mech.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

really? I do pretty good against some mechanized armies. Drop pod assaults don't give me too much sweat and running headlong in one's own transports to meet the enemy pretty much works out supported by heavy weapon fire and defilers

I quite like mech armie s- i have enough oblits to crack them open, hell Raiders fall over when my Havoc launcher hits them....

Then when they get there my 3 units of zerkers in rhinos leap out and kill what's left.

The eye of terror.

9 oblits firing lascannons. Against rhinos.

6 of them hit.

4 of them penetrate.

1.33 dead rhinos per turn.

Not as wonderful as you think.

Multi-meltas stand a better chance, but then you blow up the transports and get instant-deathed by the melta guns that pop out because you're much closer to the bad guys.

Immobilising them is as good as killing them as well. And if the OBs die in order that I can take out their troops choices I consider that a very good swap.

I wish more chaos players thought this way. I have played two games against lash armies

I didn't know that it was a shooting attack! Means that one kid I played was cheating me on that game.

yeah, after that one moment I used it I knew that people were just going to consider me another lash spammer. Granted it's incredibly powerful given facing certain armies, IE Tau, Necrons, Tyranids, it just takes the fun out of the game. I want to earn my wins, not just go throwing everything into heavy weapon range followed by zerker mopup.

They use dual lash.
I play Tyranids. Lash is good, but not worth the whining.

I agree. Bring your best army. Yes Lash might be powerful, but it isn't game breaking. It can be dealt with. You bring your best army. I'll bring mine. That is the attitude that should be taking place. Now that being said. If you are always winning it maybe the people you are playing against just aren't that great at the game. Tone your army down and give yourself a challenge. It will make you a better player, and your friends will still want to play and be your friends, and it might help to share some of your tactics.

so..... this also means the demon prince can't use the spell while he is engaged in close combat?

If it's a psychic shooting attack, and doesn't specify otherwise, no he can't. See Pg. 50 of the BGB.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.
