Here is the poll being cited. Only one of the numbers present in the graphic (35%) is present in the survey. And the question itself is not present at all. For all intents and purposes this is a complete fabrication.

This morning on my drive into work I was listening to a conservative-leaning morning show on one of the local rock stations. They were trying to report on a comparison (probably the one in the LA Times) between Palin’s current popularity figures & Obama’s current approval ratings. I decided to call in to explain validity and comparability of different types of surveys, and how the two weren’t directly comparable. They could not comprehend at all, and resorted to fabricating details of the article and speculating on how the Palin poll worked, dismissing my views on the incompatibility of the surveys as being because I “hate” her.
I certainly hope people of that mindset continue to support her. It’d be great to have her to run against again.

Frazzled refers to the dominance of the extreme Liberals in legislature in the state.
As with all things we know that the actual desired state is a balance, however I think after several years being ruled by the hard right, some democrat dominance will bring things back to centre (or center) rather than see them swing too far to the left.

No, at best he is a RINO at this point, but as others have noted, the California legislature and the judges effectively running their prison system, are truly representative of our current US Congress.

Dude I live in California, and I know he is definitely not right of center. He claims one thing and does something else. But the legislature...now that is not centrist at all. It is made up of either uber left wing nutters or uber right wing nutters. There aren't many moderates...

Prop 8 was all sorts of crazy. Here you had BO winning the state handily in the election, but his name also drew out the the black vote in droves. By and large the black community is fiscally liberal but socially conservative. It is widely assumed that the black vote is what passed Prop 8.

He is, part the right wing just ran really far away from the middle over the last few years. Hence the party wide schism after Obamas victory (and more realistically before it, once moderate republicans started to disapprove of bush era politics and more hardline adjusted their stances to support it more heavily).
Anyway, back to my shumisms. Modern news is yellow journalism, democracy is being killed, and big business is fanning the flames of ignorance, etc. I don't even really care, this isn't a particularly new thing to fox. They edit pictures of their political opponents to give them big noses.

I love when the daily show caught hannity running footage from one rallly and saying it was from another to make it seem like more people showed up, even though one was in summer, the other was in fall and you can clearly see all the trees are green and full.

This is completely false. The right-wing media began lying about the Climatic Research Unit emails on November 20. The Rasmussen poll was conducted December 1-2.
