Mistakes by any member of the show team that end up on air may result in immediate disciplinary action against those who played significant roles in the "mistake chain," and those who supervise them. That may include warning letters to personnel files, suspensions, and other possible actions up to and including termination, and this will all obviously play a role in performance reviews. So we now face a great opportunity to review and improve on our workflow and quality control efforts. To make the most of that opportunity, effective immediately, Newsroom is going to "zero base" our newscast production. That means we will start by going to air with only the most essential, basic, and manageable elements. To share a key quote from today's meeting: "It is more important to get it right, than it is to get it on." We may then build up again slowly as deadlines and workloads allow so that we can be sure we can quality check everything before it makes air, and we never having to explain, retract, qualify or apologize again. Please know that jobs are on the line here. I can not stress that enough. I will review again during our Monday editorial meeting, and in the days and weeks ahead. This experience should make us stronger editorially, and I encourage everyone to invest themselves one hundred and ten percent in this effort.

I really WANT Obama to lose the next election, but i would rather give Obama a handjob than allow Huckabee (God pest) Palin (Creationist spastic God-pest) or Romney (absurd magic underpants God-pest) into the White-house.

Honestly, my missus is American, if any of those 3 win she will get laughed out of my street.. we cant let it happen! Arent there any sensible normal Republicans?! I like John McCain alot too.. shame he is old. Cant we give hiom some cod liver oil supplements or something!?

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Except the Obama part. I, who can actually vote, would vote for the random homeless guy vs. this ACORN organizer again.

Rudy Giuliani/ Colin Powell (either order I don't care) combo ticket to kick ass and take names @ the next election.

At the very least it will be a contest, rather than the whalloping the current batch of republican candidates are setting themselves up for.

Because no matter how badly Obama has failed to do pretty much anything that he said he would, he is still preferable to the current bunch of republican tools.

After he backed Obama and railed on the Republican party, they'd lock the doors before Powell could walk into the convention hall.

Guiliani, and the former Citibank guy are the current ones to beat. However, there are several others with names starting to pop up. There are still several years until the primaries and a lot can change in that time.
I still think we need to import Blair, find a surprise birth certifcate and run him on some party. Or Mad Dog Grostnik. We'll call it the Haggis Party.

At the same time, the Tea Party might continue to build and have a politician successfully get on board (many have tried and failed). That could be interesting, depending on who it is.

Of course that may not matter if he is to run as a Republican.
