White Dwarf 361 in the UK just landed, and I openned the front cover to see some nice nid goodness butchering guardsmen... Then I looked closer... And is it me, or are the stormtroopers not the current Karskin nor the old gasmasked ones... Could they be the new sculpts hidden in plain sight?

Anyone with a better camera then me able to post a picture please do!

Those are the old ones. Now they're billed as Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, but they used to be for the IG.

Some people like the older STs. I rather like the newer cadian ones with the masks.

Pretty sure that those are the old ones- at the very least they're metal (duplications of minis).

I prefer the Kasrkin models myself- but the IG codex seems to have glossed over these models and focus on the old style in the artwork.

Could be these are what the oft-rumored plastic Stormies will look like.

Those do look like the old metal stormtroopers. I would love it if the new plastics looked the same though.

Ksarkin are nice and all, but look like super Cadians, which they are. The old metal stormtroopers looked like they were from somewhere else, which fit the fluff better.

Yes, those are unquestionably the (now) "Inquisitition" Stormies pictured. If you go into the previous IG Codex, the exact paint scheme is used.

Wait, in the original sgt, he has a plasma pistol and sword. Isn't that one holding a hellpistol?

The only odd thing is, I believe the sergeant has been converted. I don't think the original was carrying twin linked las-pistols.

Any chance it's a plastic based on the old model? Would WD use conversions in they're preview photos?

They are old ST ,

because it looks identical to mine.

and , the guns are still molded very closely to the body , something plastic never do.
