I'm looking for a few christmas-themed drinks to try out over the upcoming days before christmas.

Recommend me some good drinks! Please?

edit: Preferable alcoholic drinks but feel free to post non-alcoholic drinks too.

Peppermint is a good holiday flavor. Peppermint schnapps go well in Vodka (can add a little grenadine for color), or in hot chocolate.

Candy canes make an excellent garnish for a holiday cocktail. Either a regular cane in a Highball glass, or those mini candy canes in any other glass. Crushed candy canes can be used to coat the rim of a martini glass the way sugar or salt is used for various drinks. That’s good on this one:

Peppermint Patty
2 ounces vodka, 1 ounce peppermint schnapps, 1/2 ounce white creme de cacao Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Stir gently and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Gingerbread Man
1 1/2 ounces vanilla flavored vodka, 4 ounces ginger beer. Pour vodka over a couple of ice cubes in a cocktail glass, add ginger beer, garnish with a cherry or something (a mint leaf is good too).

The big tradition in my family, though, is mulled wine.

Mulled Wine
2 bottles dry red wine, 4 ounces port or brandy, 12 whole cloves, 4 cinnamon sticks, 1 large orange, cut into thin round slices. Optional additions: nutmeg, star anise.

Put the ingredients in a large pot and bring to a simmer. Don’t let it boil. Heat for 20 minutes and serve in a large, heat resistant punch bowl. Or just keep it on a low simmer on the stove.

drinking ale on the ground like russ intended

Hot buttered rum
butterbeer the recipe is from mugglenet
mulled cider

Butterbeer! It warms you up AND tastes great. Now in take-away form from The Three Broomsticks. (Many thanks to Melissa for this recipe!)

Ingredients:

* 1 cup (8 oz) club soda or cream soda
* ½ cup (4 oz) butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping)
* ½ tablespoon butter

Directions:

Step 1: Measure butterscotch and butter into a 2 cup (16 oz) glass. Microwave on high for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until syrup is bubbly and butter is completely incorporated.

Step 2: Stir and cool for 30 seconds, then slowly mix in club soda. Mixture will fizz quite a bit.

Step 3: Serve in two coffee mugs or small glasses; a perfectly warm Hogwarts treat for two!

Colt isn't exactly high society, but it has its uses. Like deadening the droning of relatives.

Anyway, this is much, much worse.

Christmas here is summer, so it's summer drinks for Christmas. That means mojitos, g&t, and nice cold beer. I had a Portugese lager the other day, Don Bock or something, that was quite tasty.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. Yes. A santa hat will make any drink a "Christmas Drink". So, I guess it's my usual Captain Morgan while wearing a santa hat.
