Well, I would say It Is going to be awesome, but ODST looked awesome too, and well...It was terrible.
I think they have the chance here, to really get away from the cartoon style of Halo 3, they can make the enemies, armour, weapons cooler, because they can claim its all outdated equipment.

Your opinion, not ours. I found them both to be fun, you did not. Please, keep in mind we do not all
share the same views. if you wish to bash, see my Halo thread instead.
No by the time of halo 2 there are atleast 3(not cheif) spartens left. 2 are stuck in the sheild world and one retired to start a family. Besides spartens never die remember.
-to many points to bother to count.

I love Halo 3, I enjoy the campain, I love forge and Custome games, and I sometimes play Matchmaking.
But In the last two years, Bungie hasn't been doing well, the first day ODST came out, I brought it, literally everyone on my friends list, on Xbox Live was playing it, over the next two days, the amount of people dropped, I havnt seen anyone play ODST on Friends lists in weeks now. Im bored of it too, they could have done an awesome multiplayer with ODST, but they did a campain, and then you can replay each campain level, but with more enemies. BORING!
I never brought Halo Wars, not after playing the demo, I found it boring and easy.
I love Halo 3, but all theses spin off's aint been good so far, I hope Reach will be good, and I will buy it, but we will see.

I dont know about these two on this "shield world", and I would like to know more about that, but the spartan who retired, didnt retire to start a family, he/she was the only spartan to ever be wounded in action, but not die. At the end of Halo 3, on Master Chief's grave (They thought he was dead) was carved "117" which was his military number or something.

Have you played ODST, I think it could have been a great game, the graphics, weapons, characters were all amazing. But its the lack of real multiplayer and the fact that you can only do the campain, or repeat each campain level with more baddies to kill.
I'd love It, If they released a Halo:ODST multiplayer, but I doubt they will.

ODST was the last "expansion" being done by Bungie. Reach is, supposedly, being done by a brand new dev team and the first game done exclusively by Microsoft, rather than Bungie itself.
And so what if it was copy/pasted from Horde?
Fans wanted it. They got it.
Then all you spastic kiddies left it the minute something new and shiny showed up.
Modern Warfare 2's release hyped everybody up so that they forgot about ODST, which is somewhat of a shame as MW 2 is a pretty decent game, and nowhere near the WINFEST I was told it would be.
Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

Is that not a few weeks later, some big name games that the kiddies always flock to came out.
It amuses me that you would take an elitist stance with regard to Halo.
"Oh no, our greatest game was beset by a series of other good games. Clearly it was a conspiracy, our game is the best. No one would play a different game, because it could not be better!"

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

No no no. It has nothing to do with an elitist stance in regards to Halo.
It's the fact that, when saying that the game goes from being the most played thing on your Friends list to virtually unplayed...there's plenty of other factors in there. Especially with the Game of the Week crowd, the kind of folk who buy a game--beat it--then sell it back all within a week.
That's just my personal take on it though. I'm waiting till I get a memory unit to move my saved games from my old 360 from the original launch to start playing ODST again. I'm not really interested in replaying the campaign through on Legendary all over
