It can work, because the opponent can kill only so many things.
But it does make enemy target priorities easier to distinguish.
In addition, what you are suggesting takes up alot of space... generally resulting in much congestion.
When that happens, I generally look for charging multiple units, and that's when things get messy for a MSU army. Automatically Appended Next Post: The idea of MSU army is to get more special weapons and focus more on offensive power and throwing defensive qualities out the window.
So... it can work, just like anything, but this is so extreme that I feel it's win big / lose big.
