Does anyoen know what colours/icon etc the Dark Mechanicum use?

I can't find an example of a log o or anythign online. Is it just the normal mechanicum icon in darker colours?

The Dark Mechanicum use Chaos symbols much like the trator legions, but still use the Mechanicus Cog & Skull logo, because in their eyes THEY ARE the true Mechanicum.

As for uniform, they wear black robes as opposed to the Rust-red of their loyalist counterparts.

Not sure. They're basically just Chaos warped Adeptus Mechanicus. Even Lexicanum doesn't seem to have much about them.

This guy seems to be working on one though as he mentioned working on both Adeptus Mechanicus and Dark Mechanicus.

I think a techmarine for one of the legions might differ from the loyalist ones. I imagine he'd be more akin to his fellow marines, just with an understanding of technology.

But there would most certainly be some who would honour the Dark Mechanicum, the Iron Warriors for example

That stuff looks amazing! A little beyond me though. i'm just looking to paint a techmarine a bit darker.

Remember, although all Chaos adepts are Dark Mechanicus, not all Dark Mechanicus are Chaos Adepts.

The Dark Mechanicum are ANY mechanicum that turn from the set path of the Omnissiah. So an adept who creates Artificial Intelligence or tries to mess with Astartes gene-seed, or try to reverse engineer xenos tech whilst having nothing to do with Chaos, is still considered a member of the Dark Mechanicus as he is dabbling in forbidden lore.

Maybe paint them like this Word Bearer?


Kind of like painting a normal Techmarine but using darker colours. Some are just the colour of their chapter with the right shoulder pad painted red.

That sounds like a plan. So paint him in iron Warrior coloursm, but do the shoulder pad in, what. Scab red and red Gore highlight?
