That's down to having a good player base; restricting their ability to post won't let them learn otherwise. Hell, I remember when I was like that a couple of years ago. It just takes practice to get better at text-based roleplaying.

We have Blap thr conservative side.

And we have Darkvoidof40k the progressive side.

And finally we have castiel the side that is making a compromise and im support Castiels choice that way there will be some sort of order.

But it isn't entirely free. With a bit of common sense and the 4 post rule there shouldn't be any bother.

Oh yeah about that this is my second RP so bear with me if i am a little inexperienced with some of the finer aspects.

Actually, I'd trust Darkvoid with this. He's got the knowledge.

Thanks, credit where credit is due and all; I have been roleplaying for a good few years now, largely on this site (up until last summer).

If people start posting contradictions or getting too over the top, we simply point it out and help them correct it. Otherwise people don't learn and the game will simply slow down and become a sluggish affair. I realise games that speed up too quickly can become a real hassle to handle, and because of that on my site we've developed a number of ways of helping with that.

I appreciate it's a lot more difficult keeping track on Dakka, but I insist we are allowed freedom to post when we want to.

Of course, within reason.

I'm glad people agree with me.. hopefully won't end up with another religion established in my name later down the line..

I feel old when talking about stuff that happened years ago on here.

@Andy - was that a Skyrim reference with the circle? I assume you're going with a more chaos-sided character for later down the line?

So. how're we gonna do this then. Free for all (don't all rush at once though!) or 4 post rule? Dark, what would you recommend for us, we're all fairly new to this, so which do you reckon wouldd be best to start with?

Well now, it's not a free for all as such. On the Penthouse, we often have pages and pages of OOC to simply discuss how best to proceed in a couple of posts. But generally, it's best to trust the player's individual judgements for most posts. Just be sure to remind each other if we "cross the line" of OTT.

Everyone post, if they want to, but just be aware of what's going on. It's always useful to have a couple of tabs open when involved in RPGs on forums, one for the post, one for the OOC thread, one for looking up other information (such as characters, locations etc) or just general forum surfing.

Now if there are no objections, I'll start work on a post.

Hehe.. well, it'd be interesting if your character lent more to the traitorous side.. seeing as I'm considering mine being noticed for "Chaplain material" much later down the game. Could be interesting..

Evolution, gentlemen.

Do hope Magnus isn't too peeved with all this.

It was meant to go after Dark's post about wether Magnus would be ok with what we'd done. Ninja'd.

Managing a site and hopping between four or five games half the day is tiring for anyone.

Admiral, just a suggestion, d'you think you could try writing in third person? It's the standard for RPG's.. of course, first person is useful and does have its place now and then, but 3rd tends to read better.

Now, stop distracting me you strange Dakkanauts.

Yes thanks i have had that problem for a while its just easier to write in first person but i understand that it would be better in third person i will try to fix it up.

Sounds good man, it's always hard to brake habit, but once you get used to it, you won't have to think twice.
