So yea, i currently own 2 AoBR worth of orks plus about kilograms of bitz i got off ebay (in wich i already found 2 rokkit launcha bodies, 4 burna boyz, grotsnik and enough parts to pretty much convert anything i care for )

anyway, here's what i've thought up so far... my biggest problem really are what to do with troops and HQ's

Also, are the points spent on different equips for copta's really worth it? (for wound allocation)

HQ:
Big Mek
SAG
'Eavy Armor (last 5 points)

Troops:

30x Slugga Boyz 220 points

Elites:

15 x Kommandos 220 points
2x Burna
Nob: PK Bosspole

15 x Kommandos 220 points
2x Burna
Nob: PK Bosspole

3x TL Rokkit
2x Buzzsaw
1x Bigbomm

5x Deffkoptas 270 points
3x TL Rokkit
2x Buzzsaw
1x Bigbomm

5x Deffkoptas 270 points
3x TL Rokkit
2x Buzzsaw
1x Bigbomm
(kitted as this for wound allocation)
1 TL rokkit
2 Big Shoota
3 TL Rokkit Buzzsaw
4 Big shoota Buzzsaw
5 TL rokkit Bigbomm

2000 points total

Before people start giving advice with special characters, we dont allow those at my local gw.

So yea, biggest questions for this list i need anwsers to are:

1. Wound allocation for koptas worth it?
2. troops: Footslogging or trukks? shoota or slugga?
3. HQ? i have no clue what kind of HQ would work best with this.

Also, people, don't give advice that would make it into an entirely different list, its not competitive, and i want to see the look on my opponents face when i force 15 koptas down his throat XD

1. Yes. If you're going to take 5 koptas, do this:

#1: Twin-linked rokkits
#2: Twin-linked rokkits, buzzsaw
#3: Twin-linked rokkits, buzzsaw, big bomb
#4: Twin-linked rokkits, big bomb
#5: Twin-linked Big Shootas (no buzzsaw)

As for whether you put them on the table or outflank them, it *really* depends on whether you go first or second, and opponent deployment. Pointwise, don't go crazy with the buzzsaws - you need those points elsewhere too.

2. For an outflanking type list, foot-slogging, with shootas not sluggas. See other threads (many, many of them) about why - I've gone into this enough before. These guys *need* cover - either take a unit of gretchin to provide a mobile 4+ cover save to your boys...or use a mob of 'Ard Boys....in which case Mad Dok Grotsnik is a great HQ choice (4+ armor, 4+ FNP). Generally, a good HQ to put in this kind of list is either a warphead or Old Zogw....crap. No special characters. *()#&%(*&#(#*&$

Your FLGS is offficially not friendly if their house rules run counter to the 40k rulebook.

Ok, no Mad Dok Grotsnik, no Old Zogwort....just put a warphead in there.

hehe i know, i've tried to fight on more then one occasion but its both the players and FLGS that dont want it...

The reason for this is that almost everyone there play Fantasy, in wich Special Characters are even more OP'd and they just figured the same applies to 40k i guess ~~

Also, the Deffkopta set up is a bit more expensive...

And i've never run a weirdboy before.. might be fun XD

so... no Trukks needed in this??

The reason I say no trukks - if you're going to mechanize your list, you mechanize the whole list, stick a KFF into it, and laugh all the way to your victory 75% of the time without any tactical requirements. Part of that is between your KFF and having 4-8 vehicles, your opponent simply can't disembark enough to prevent you from slamming willy nilly into their lines.

With your list, you're going to have what...2-4 trukks? AV10 trukks? That's just not enough.

If you're going for a pure outflanking list, your troops are there to stay alive and get objectives. Best case is to assault into the objective and remove it from the enemy, or go to ground on an objective in cover for a 3+ save. You don't have any outflanking troops, so the bulk of your list is going to be elites and fast attacks. I guess you could stick some boys into battlewagons, but points aren't limitless, and those points would really be better spent elsewhere. Make it footslogging; add a warphead for re-rollable psychic powers. Two warpheads in your list mean four chances per turn of a Waaaugh! =) Or at least of doing cool things.

You lose on objective games.

Koptas are so expensive its stupid. They are a support unit, not a super unit like Nob Bikers, I only use units of 1, works best that way.

Warpheads are badass, never take a regular Weirdboy though. It is quite delicious when you teleport your 30 strong mob of shootas/sluggas into your enemy though, as they are counted as already charging into combat!

Dashofpepper is quite a smart guy regarding Orks, and in general too when we are talking 40k. Take heed when he speaks.

A really risky thing, just for giggles, is to put a regular weirdboy, in with a SAG mek in a unit of 15 Lootas. So many things that can go bad XD.

I suggest you don't play at your FLGS if you have the option of playing anywhere else, thats just stupid, really.

In the Webway.

If you have to AoBR sets why dont you use the warbosse(s)?? THeyre great on the battlefield and i really like the models. You havent included any nobz either, these are also brilliant and are a good retinue for the warboss.

I would drop some deffkoptas as loads are too expensive. Take more boyz and maybe some lootas or burna boyz. Mount some in trukks/BW and add more outflankness to your army. Not boyish enough for me.
