Subject: Autocannon's or missle launchers ?

Hey guys I'm trying to decide what would be better to equip my regular imperial guard squads with I'm trying to be able to take care of some tanks and some infantry now in addition the the heavy weapon each squad has a plasma gun now the way i see it with the auto cannon i have 2 shots at 48 inches Strength 7 ap 4 shooting at BS 3 or i can shoot a missile launcher strength 8 ap3 at BS 3 but when i target infantry it just scatters so im really torn up by what to choose so maybe y'all can help with some opinions thanks in advance

Autocannons. Better chance to hit as you get more shots, can still pop 90% of normal transports with ease (other than wave serpents).

Autocannons, although I think missile launchers may be a lot better against the new Tyranids coming along.
Also punctuation, that's the most useful weapon of all.

Missile launchers shot in the blast mode are great vs hordes,
while krak shots means hit or miss with BS 3.
Autocannons are great vs lighter tanks (up to AV 12) and MC's.
Tough decision, depends on the rest of the army.

I'll break it down this way:
For anti-infantry, missile launchers are a tiny, tiny bit better. But, if you want to kill hordes, why not just take a mortar and save yourself 10 points?
For antitank, I did the math and missile launchers only end up being better against AV13 and AV14 (because, of course, autocannons can't hit that high).
So, if you only have a choice between those two, definately go for the autocannon.
However, I strongly recommend the Lascannon - not only is it better than the autocannon at busting everything but AV10, AV11, and infantry with a 4+ or worse save, but its AP2 matches nicely with your plasma guns when it comes down to shooting terminators. I'm a huge fan of the las/plas combo.
