I'm building a Black Templars army which will eventually have at least three squads of Initiates with close combat weapons. My problem is that I don't want all my squads looking the same; I want each one to be individual. So I was thinking of giving one squad chainswords, and then giving each of the other two squads different close combat weapons. I was thinking of chainaxes for one, but would that be legit? And any ideas for weapons for the third squad?
Also, I might have Neophytes with close combat weapons accompanying two of these squads; any ideas for different close combat weapons for Neophytes?

Kill the mutant, burn the heretic, purge the unclean!!!!

There are just three simple rules to follow: If I charge, follow me. If I retreat, kill me. If I die, avenge me.

"A Templar Knight is truly a fearless knight and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armor of faith, just as his body is protected by armor of steel. He is thus doubly armed and need fear neither daemons nor men."

A close combat weapon is a close combat weapon, so long as it's not a 'special' close combat weapon.

Axes, swords, clubs, knives, etc etc. I'd look into Fantasy bits for 'different' weapons.

You could do one squad in tabards, another as mk.6 Beakies, and the 3rd as regular mk.7 SM.

Personally just swords and black templars fit so well, but you could try just personalizing each squad. Such as one will just have tabards, another will expand upon the tabards so on and so forth.

This is good.... isn't it?
