Comfortable

How did you just read these? I constantly hear on-vu-lope and cumf-tur-bul instead of what they're actually spelled like. Comfortable really gets me because the t gets crammed somewhere it shouldn't. Anyone else noticed this?

These are actually different. "Affect" is only a verb and means 'to produce effect on', whilst "Effect" is both a noun and a verb. The verb form meaning "to bring about", whilst the noun is a 'result' or 'consequence'.

Misspelling color as colour. It's really sad how many people can't spell a 5 letter word.

Oh, also herbs and salmon.

Strictly speaking, it should really be pronounced Scoon, seeing as they were invented in Scone, Scotland, and that's how you pronounce the name of their place of origin. Scoon.

Otherwise, you're wrong. It's blatantly 'scon'....

Aluminum in the USA. You English guys can't spell because you're too busy trying to eat haggis and translate English to metric to spell properly.

Thus: Aluminum.
