Subject: Another casualty of GW C&D?

I've been following the webcomic Gone to Ground since it started and discovered last Friday that the site's down. Anyone know if this is due to a C&D or just the artist not being able to keep up with the demands involved. I know that there were some issues involving a work and/or school schedule keeping the artist from maintaining the strip as often as he initially wanted to, which lead to the strip being put out once or twice a month instead of weekly.
It would be unfortunate if GW legal managed to snip short the career of a budding artist working hard to popularize the world of 40K...

Given the fate of TSoL, I'd think it was a likelihood at the very least. Which is why I made an inquiry rather than a statement...
Any input, anyone? I know the artist visited Dakka at least once to let peeps know he had gotten started.

GW didn't stab TSoL, they just told the guy he couldn't sell his comics in a bound volume, and he couldn't keep up with it after that...
I'm pretty sure there wasn't a C&D there, as he had gone to THEM to get permission...

Dude updates like once a month at best, comics good though. If it were a C&D the site would still be up and the comic would be down, but given that he's not violating any laws that I'm aware of I don't think he's in particular danger.
GW didn't stab TSoL, they just told the guy he couldn't sell his comics in a bound volume, and he couldn't keep up with it after that...
Thats what happens when you base your work off of someone elses IP without permission. You're allowed to do it, you just can't profit.

Neat, one was a book with artistic design and story direction completely different from what games workshop does (starship troopers ripped of grays and the bugs are basically large beetle like insects) and the other bears a small but legally massive visual difference (and more modernly absolutely none at all, that is unless everything with a carapace looks alike). They're all just dinosaurs with exoskeletons anyway, the actual artistic visual detail is legally different enough for it not to be an issue. If they were close enough for a legally actionable offense then virtually every IP and visual design in the last 20 years would be for something as well.
