All right, I loved the old BEAT THIS UNIT, but a cycle of units was repeating, so I am starting this, with more rules.

1)No repeating units... We go until we exhaust.

2)List a points cost or it doesn't count.

3)Assuming other units have the same option as you... You can't just say, my deepstriking sentinels demolished your outflanking warwalkers b/c we deepstuck...

Those are the rules for this thread, if you don't like 'em get out...

Most importantly have fun.

To get the ball rolling:

10 Tactical Marines-210
Missle Launcher, Flamer, Sergeant w/ Powerfist and Combi-Melta
Drop pod-35
Total: 245 Points

Hardcore unit...

30 Shoota Boyz, Nob with PK and Bosspole - 220 points

I gun you down for two turns while closing, then charge into assault with probably upwards of 60 attacks, depending on casualties.

*Cringe*.... There is a drop pod... It's more like I come down, kill 10-13 orks, then get murdered by pure wound saturation...

Either way, I win! Orks are just a lot more points-efficient than SM are, in general.

Manticore Rocket Launcher - 160 points

*assuming We roll table corners*

Each turn I get D3 Large Blast Templates at 24 - 120 inches away. Str 10 so it would even Instant death a Warboss *assuming it isnt immune* AP 4 so you get no armor saves, and it is Ordnance, so you get no cover.

Let me settle this before more of this goes down... ASSUME IT IS PITCHED BATTLE ANNIHLATION

Other than that, damn orks for their superior-ness...

Sorry about that, lets see, vs a mob of 30 orks If we are going by single organization choice Ill throw down a platoon worth of guardsmen 1 Platoon Command squad, with 4 Infantry squads (as a combined blob squad) 220 points, if not, then How about an Executioner Plasma tank with sponson heavy bolters and pintle storm bolter 220 points .

Yeah, either of those would do it. I'll respond to the blob;

3x Lobbas, 3x ammo runts - 84 pts.

Well, I was only trying to come up with a unit that could survive, and take on Lobba's and not be over 84/85 points, I'd give him good odds, with only flak armor, if it is ap 5 or lower then he has to use his 5+ invuln, which actually reduces his chance to survive.

I thought the point of this was to be somewhat close to the previous posters unit? x3 mantas is incredibly retardedly over the cost of your previous.

See the rules post; no points, doesn't count.

For the Lord Commissar; Bikeboss with Big Choppa - 105

That's 5 S8 I5 WS5 attacks on the charge, or I can just ride around and dakka you to death.

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

How about an Armoured Sentinel squad of 2. 110 points.

They are walkers so you HAVE to hit front armor. It is Front Armor 12 so your 30 Str 4 attacks wont effect it.
