I actually have a carnifex that I GS'd up for a nurgle nids project... Never even reached the paint table... I'll find it soon and catch it on film.

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

Any plans for a whole fleet or just a few big guys?

I like the heavy dry-brushing, but if you can, I'd try adding boils and entrails seeping out from between the ribs of the big fella. My fleet feels pretty normal right now though when compared to yours.

Tired of reading new rulebooks... Just wanting to play.

Nice paint job, but he doesn't particularly look Nurgle to me. Could have used some markings of disease and rot and a Mark somewhere.

A very nice paint job, but, as has been stated,it could definatly use more "rot".
Still,a very cool concept.

My concept is to have different stages of deterioration on the hive fleet from the nurgle plague that's infecting them. So this is like stage one, as it goes they will get more rotten and eventually the symbol of nurgle will rise from the rotted skin!

hmmm...I would have used the "regenerating head" personally as well as adding some greenstuff to the carapase and under belly to represent boils and lesions. Like this:

Otherwise, it just looks like some green bugs.

That Nid looks fantastic, easily one of the best painted Nid I've seen yet. IMO that carapace effect would look great on regular nids as well, how did you do it?

Used and Application of Marmite then you just dry brush what you want on top of it. The original post I saw that used Marmite was to mimic weathering.

Marmite weathering? That made me do a double check . Great idea though and looks good.

Why Marmite?

The effect looks great, but I can't imagine that 'Marmite' is the key ingredient to accomplishing it.

I was originally going to do a rotting effect using the marmite. Apply a top layer then take it off like in the weathering to look like patches of dead skin had fallen off, but after some testing I just liked how it looked on the shell so much that I went with it. Still havn't tested the skin theory yet, but I probably will soon enough.

The look on the carapace is perfect, but the skin doesn't look mottled and putrescent enough.

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"

Is that followed by a pile-in move?

That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"

Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round?
