Keeping busy between commissions, I made this in honor of the latest incarnation of Space Hulk. This is a private, personal project. (no challenge intended…) Copper foil construction, lots of painted details - the ultimate game room accessory. Sorry for the bad pictures- the lighting washes out the glass textures and details.

Thanks. I've done two other 40K panels in the past - both Dark Angels images. One for a friend and the other donated to a local game shop. This is the first Blood Angels, and the largest so far. Hand-painting the lettering was a major hassle.

Thanks all. Those small tabs are 10 of 12 names. The parchment on the right says "Vengeance shall be ours. Bless your weapons. Raise prayer for your armour. Enter the Sin of Damnation."

Not sure about pix. I'll search my files for photos of the other two panels.

"Who wouldn't want it in their window?" Well, it's definitely a niche item.

I'll try for better pictures later today.

Um wow, could you explain more of what this is and how you did it?

OK. What you're looking at is a stained glass panel that measures roughly 20" x 34". It was constructed using the Copper Foil method (as opposed to lead same) and has a lot of hand painted details. I use a glass & tile paint that's difficult to work with, but is permanent after 72 hours. If this had been an individual commission, I'd have designed the panel slightly different, but being a personal project, I used what I had on hand. The red dots along the sides and top are blood red "jewels", kinda like rough glass marbles with a flat side, the rest is individual pieces of "art" glass. Some of the more difficult cuts and inside curves were done with a cable saw, the rest was cut, fit and ground as usual.

That help?

I'll have to investigate this copper foil method, great work. Inspiring.

Now that it's finished, the challenge is complete. I'm wondering if I should give it to the hobby store, hang it in one of my game room windows, or leave it in my shop with a price tag. I mean it'd be nice to pay some bills and get some new Tyranids.

If you are going to sell it, let me know. I'm Blood Angle true and through.
