Whats the simplest conversion you've ever done, but it has a huge effect on look/feel/style of figure(s)???
i think the easiest "conversion" that i've done repeatedly is the old, combat knife to bayonet, i don't pics of the 10 man tac squad i am painting now, but they are all fitted with bayo's i have a small squad with them now though.

a close second, and I have to dig one out of the great bits box, are my power fist to lightning claw conversion(s).... pics soon on that one.

On my DE raiders, I didn't put the gunner at the front with the dark lance, because I've never really thought it worked for that model. They're trying to get as much room on the body of the raider itself for slaves and the warriors ready to leap off the running boards.

Instead, I made a mount on the top spine using one of the round bits of bracing sprue and pinning it to the flipped and trimmed dark lance. I figure that the driver is also the gunner since the weapon can't be fired while going flat out, presumably because he has to concentrate on his aerobatics (although the gunner being the driver may explain why my DL keep missing).

The range from directly in front is slightly less, but I usually have my raiders side on to the enemy anyway (I know they're going to get shot down, might as well take a cover save from tem as long as I can) which means I'm measuring the same distance.

That would probably be adding a nob bosspole to the base of my KFF big mek, then putting some stones around it. Really adds to the rather static feel of the model.

Next, and slightly harder:
Turning a boltgun, a IG autocannon and some random bits I got at the flgs into a man portable version of a autocannon for a certain elite choice in a certain force from a certain FW book.

Last one:
Heavy bolter and plasma gun.(Both IG)
Shortening the HB and putting the plasma gun buttstock and other arm to it, then glueing the ammo box strait to it. Can't really see it, but those that are smart enough to compare then see that it is about 1 CM shorter then a normal gun. Used in the same force as the autocannon wielder, but this time as an troop choice.

If you haven't guessed the army yet, then you have completly failed to notice the FW books of just don't know what force is in them.(And to shamelessly continue this boasting: BLOG INCOMING!)

Mine is probably actually adding camo capes to a squad, rather than just saying "They have camo capes". Mind you, thats just about one of the only conversions I've done so yea... Pictures if you wanna see em can be found here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/272291.page

"Give me a gun, a google-eyed alien to shoot it at, and I’ll die a happy man." - Guardsman Franx, 13th Penal Legion AKA Schaeffer's Last Chancers.

This is my lasgun. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My lasgun is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my lasgun is useless. Without my lasgun, I am useless. I must fire my lasgun true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before The Emperor I swear this creed: my lasgun and myself are defenders of the Imperium, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

1000 pts and growing...
