How do you imagine it?
I imagine it like this:you are some inquisitor(you can choose between 3 major ordos or choose to a puritan or radical),you can travel between planets in the sector in which the game is set ,you do quests and all that.

It will be like a Bioware game, only without all the usual clichés that they have in their games.

Might as well wish for world peace while I'm at it.

Bioware games are great, but I hate their classes limitation, some can use heavy armor while some can't,can't just anyone use the equipment part from the elder scrolls where every class can equip anything.

Gathering the Informations.

...No?

BioWare bases theirs more off of traditional RPG archetypes. Y'know...those crazy ideas of Rogue-Warrior-Priest-Mage? Yeah. They're classics.
Example:

Rogue archetypes in heavy armor don't really work, due to clanky gear y'know...not being stealthy. Unless it's specially crafted Elven heavy armor(in which case it doesn't even *count* as heavy, for the most part, it's considered 'Light') or other situations like that.

I hated Elder Scrolls for the simple fact that it ends up being very cookie-cutter for a playthrough. Get the heaviest armor you can, increase your Sneak skill(no matter your class! woo! stealth mages! yeah...that's garbage) and then keep at it like that.

But I digress.
If they DO make a 40k RPG and it DOES have something like the traditional archetypes--who cares as long as the game is good?

That makes me wonder if the 40K MMO will have a single-player mode as well, a-la Diablo/Diablo II

Considering they said the game -can- be played alone if you prefer, I wouldn't be suprised if they added a closed SP mode by the time release rolls around.

I wish that they made a 40k RPG which is mod friendly like Morrowind,Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Minus the excessive, terrible crash-causing bugs that spring up every couple hours of gameplay. Bethesda makes great games, but Jeebus Christ on a Pogo Stick, are they ever unstable.

Not if you download unofficial patches it fixed all of my problems and remaining problems were solved by advices from other people and from knowledge of construction set.

You shouldn't need to download unofficial patches to fix your broken game that you just bought though. If you're going to put a game on the market, it should at least operate with stability. Balance patches are one thing, but putting a broken game on shelves and then expecting folks to pay full retail would not be the way I would want a 40K RPG, or the MMORPG, to make it's debut.

Bethesda games are problematic because they first make it for Xbox,PS3 and then they port to PC without enough testing.

Which is exactly what a company should not do. At least, not if they plan on turning an income on a multi-platform game. Other companies seem to understand that, so I don't see why Bethesda insists on always being the last horse across the finish line.
