Hi Dakka, just a quick heads up,

Apologies if this has been done, had a quick look but couldn't see anything.

I got some of the new Legion of the Damned figures at New Year. Today I was told not to come into work because of the snow so thought I would use the time to start putting them together.

As usual I was using the production line technique, and started to clean up all the parts before glueing anything, I got to "dry fitting" the multimelta and something seemed wrong, it turns out that they packed the heavy flamer with the multimelta body and vice versa (lucky I bought both!)

I didn't think anything more of it until I moved on to the two blisters of standard legionaires. These too had miss matched arms and incorrect bodies in each pack. I ended up managing to get three put together as they should be, and one which was a duplicate body of one and a duplicate set of arms for another, neither of which went together. I phoned up mail order and they are sending out a replacement pack (which is all good because I can use the mis-matched marine for a conversion and get an extra free marine, bargain!).

So, has anyone else encountered this and also if you are buying these miniatures make sure you open the packs and check they fit together before you leave the store.

Notifying GW customer services via phone or e-mail straight away would be the best course of action.

These mistakes can happen at automated systems. At least I think GW has automated this and has finally stop using malnourished tinkers to pack their blisters.

Well when i Use to work for Reaper it was all hand packed boxes and blister. The packer at the end of the line made sure all pieces were in side the blister, before it was sealed...

So automation has it flaws, UNless your doing single peice items or two piece items...
Also it could have been a caster fault too placeing the wrong bit in the bitz tray.... But then GW has a automated casting system too... I guess it goes back too QA... poor malnourished tinker, that has to look at all casted product and give its a yeah or nay... was day dreaming of eating some tacos , placed a hvy flamer into a multa melta bits box....
