Could you post the sisters army list? It seems odd that the troops died so quickly.

I like the photo style of the Batrep.

Seconding the request for the SoB player's army list. Seems like there should be more units... and definitely more fire!

From what I can see that is a really really weak SoB list. Here is the best I can reconstruct

HQ
Cannonness - Blessed Weapon, Jump Pack, Cloak of S. Aspira, Mantle of Ophelia, Book of St. Lucius (BoSL)
Cannonness - Eviscerator, Jump Pack, Cloak of S. Aspira, Book of St. Lucius (BoSL)
Priest - Eviscerator, Power Armor?

Elite
6x Arcoflagellant
5x Celestians w/ Imagifier Vet. Superior, BoSL, Eviserator, attached Priest
5x Celestians (white painted), Vet. Superior, BoSL, Eviserator

Troops - Most foot sloggers run 12 man units of SoB for Divine Guidance
12x SoB Vet Superior, BoSL, Eviscerator?
12x SoB Vet Superior, BoSLEviscerator, Imagifier

Fast Attack
9x Seraphim, Vet Superior, BoSL, Eviserator

Heavy
Exorcist

This is about 1500 points and is the 'base' of what one might take. He might have filled out alot more using upgrades like Plasma Pistols, Litanies of Faith and it does not include any special weapons. If he is using squads out of the box then it would be a storm bolter and flamer.

Edit: Got caught up in the list and forgot to comment on the battle! Also, I think I see a Heavy Flamer and Melta gun on one of those Celestian squads....Regardless, what was your impression of the matchup and what units were the biggest issue for you? Was it the flying nuns he had? How do you think 10 man squads in transports would have performed against your army?

The sisters were tough. You guys think they died easy? FAR FAR FAR FAR from it i've never had opponents harder than them to kill. Jeez they had a billiion faith points or whatever I couldnt really explain better in the battle report because this was only my 2nd time playing against the Sisters and i just have no clue about how their rules work. There were a lot of other players watching the game and it was a 2000 pt game i have no idea what else he added or what upgrades he had.

All I know is that they were HARD to the very end. 90% of the time they all had 3+ Invulnerable and Rending (or a power very similar to it) in both shooting and close combat. This made my boneswords useless and he made ridiculous amounts of 3+ saves.

The sisters are a tough cookie with all those special tricks up their sleeves. Not an army i'd like to be fighting against too often.

And whenever i do not post the opponents' army list is well because I was not given the army list by my opponent. But apparently this is the army he always plays and he's been playing for a while and it's a 2000 pt army.

I was very satisfied with this game, gave me a run for my money. The toughest thing was definetly the faith points and that annoying tank that shoots D6 S8 shots at you.

I'd be more interested in seeing you go up against Mech Sisters.
It's their more competitive build, while you have some interesting anti-tank options to combat it.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Imagine fighting 3 of those tanks that shoot d6 S8 shots, and rather than arco-flagellants, lots and LOTS more 3+ invul sisters with rending fire.

Not every match is going to feature a nasty, tuned list I guess. Akaiyou seems to favor trying a lot of different combos of units as well.

Thanks for the report.

Not to mention, imagine someone who hides his exorcist behind cover rather than at the front of his army and deploys near his home objective.

finally a batrep with pictures. why did you give your alpha warriors rending claws when you have already given them a pair of bone swords? tank-hunting alpha warriors in an army that has 4 fexes and a trygon?

I don't think you can join the alpha to carnifexes. The alpha is an IC, not a MC, right? IC's can't normally join MC units

The specific rule, on page 48, is that they cannot "join vehicle squadrons (see the Vehicle section) and units that always consist of a single model (like most vehicles and monstrous creatures)."

So it is perfectly fine for them to join a brood of Carnifexes, since it is a unit of multiple Monstrous Creatures. That might even mean they can join a single Carnifex, since it isn't a unit that always consists of a single model.

Ew.... sisters with NO mech?! kinda hard for an army of T3 broads to win against so many MC's -_-
