Good report. Looks like the Tau player could have used a Railhead or two in his list.

Tau players always seem to deploy their fire warriors as far forward as possible, right on the 12" line.

......why?

I have to agree with spellbound he has no protection for his troop choices and no matter what army you are playing that is no way to succeed. A Railgun probably would of been great to have to.

In my experience Tau fail at objective holding every time, although with all that woodland terrain wouldn't kroot have been a useful addition?
I've yet to play the new nids yet (6 games since codex release and its been marines, chaos marines, marines, marines, orks and tau) but i am looking forward to it, i may even write up a battle report about my next game on tuesday (weather i remember my camera or not) but no-one get your hopes up.

I haven't seen Tau tactics that bad since ... well I'm not sure. The devilfish in the center shouldhave been protecting the pathfinders/fire warriors behind. Throw the broadsides in some area terrain to give them a 4+ cover save and protection from long range fire power (or behind the troops stacked behind the devilfish.

I'm not sure of any of the equipment but support was not a apart of the Tau strategy. I haven't gotten to play the newest Nids yet (our player is waiting to get his codex still).

Agh. How come every battle report I see has the Tyranids winning?

Good game. Why he had transports against guys rushing at him with sharp claws I don't know.

Too bad the store closed so soon. Woulda been fun to see it play out.

Hmm. Very good use of the new Nids. I was kinda suprised to see the Biovores.

The Tau player needs to be hit in the back of the head and scolded for such a lousy deployment of his forces!!!

Nice report and yes, the Nids aresome mean MFer's. Lost a game to them and won one.

With the new rules, can 'Thropes still move independently or do they now have to move as a "unit"?

Agreed. The reports are great and the pics w/descriptions help me out to understand what's going on.

The Tau guy shouldn't have kept anything back in reserve and kept his Firewarriors inside their Fish.

Another good battle report.
