Ah, well then someone delete this thread before it gets more unending than it already is.
Very interesting stuff, tho. No one really made an entirely convincing arguement, even between gwar! and yakface, two people that i would most likely agree with at least one of.
Gotta say that changing someone's stat is not a modifier, tho, because if you change your stat, its base is changed for a period of time, a modifier is to a specific roll (stubborn and morale).
PBS changing your ld is not a modifier, it is me reducing your ld by the number of psykers in the battle squad. They are not modifying your ld for a marale check, but lowering your ld for fun.
If you can argue that having the squad's ld change to a lower number for any period of time longer than a dice roll, one could argue that having your sergeat die and having the squad's ld reduced is a modifier.
Thus, by this argument you could say that since the sergeant has died, the squad takes a ld modifier of -1 and if they have stubborn they ignore this? Yes, this is a rediculous example but it is using the same concepts.
My psyker battle squad changes your squad's ld to x. Your sergeant dying changes the squad's ld to x.
This gak seems endless, tho, they need to FAQ this about as bad as they need to FAQ the ork steam roller or whatever its called, I can't remember what it is called because no one plays with it anymore because no one knows how it works.
