I know the codex isn't coming out for another week but without seeing it, I forsee a question arising with the new zoanthropes.
Specifically a unit of them. Forgive me if this seems like a stupid question but I think its worth considering.

If a unit of 3 zoanthropes fire their lance weapons which are pyschic shooting attacks, at how many chances does a pyschic hood have to counter them? Would you roll once for the whole unit? For an all or nothing result, or would you roll 1 time for each zoanthrope? which results in a partial counter. I can't think of any other instance where a single unit (without an IC) fires multiple identical pyschic attacks at once. Also would the zoanthropes make a single pyschic test or would they have to make 3? I know its going to come up at some point so I thought I would preempt it. I don't have a clue either way so I was hoping some better rules interpreters could help me out here. Thanks in adance.

Unless they have some sort of specical rule the nid player will have to roll three psychic tests and the opponent gets three hood attempts. FYI, they are taken as a unit in the current version as well but can act independantly. So the new codex might have just ment that but either way thats how it would work unless they gave them a new special rule that requires one test and then all must use the ability.

Unless their is some special rule thats sliped in unnoticed, they would have to make 3 seperate physic tests, which in turn would give your hood 3 chances to stop the power. Their are other units that have multiple physic shooting attacks (Deamons, Warlocks), but they also have rules that specifically bypass this issue.

A bit OT, but Daemons don't have psychic shooting attacks. Daemon powers aren't psychic powers.

Except for Daemon Princes in the CSM Codex, so darwinn69's statement is not incorrect.

No, not really. It's common knowledge that Games Workshop cannot write for Crap. It's not my fault they cannot spell.

So how do you spell "eldar"? "Elves"? Or "elfs"?

Or do you just let it go?
